So got my first clone rda. I have authentic but strayed into clones and got a clone Tugboat 2 not Steamboat but Tugboat clone. Well its threading doesn't fit on IVP 70watt or the KBOX 40. Is this common where the threads don't match when buying clone rda's? What I mean is it will screw down maybe one full turn but not enough to make a connection.

Or was my mistake buying it off ebay and therefore not being able to see reviews...like I could've bought the Steamboat off like 101vape and would've been able to tell by reviews. Personally if its hit and miss this kind of isn't worth it no?

I don't think wonky machining is unheard of with clone attys. Heck, it's not unheard of with some authentics. Add in the plethora of clone manufacturers with product quality ranging from very good to horrible and I'm not terribly surprised your 510 threading is jacked. I know I've bought some very low quality clones in the past.

all i have are clones and they work on my devices. tobeco, cigreen and ehpro clones are good quality. Havent ran into any tugboat clones though. It might sound strange but there are 'higher quality' clone manufacturers. Usually stick to the sites that dont have every atomizer on the planet cloned, i find that the smaller variety usually is better. eciggity and originvape is where i get my clones and their customer service is good as well even if u get a dumpy clone, and they ship based in the US. I had an issue with the darkhorse clone they used to carry so i emailed them and they helped me with it, they no longer carry that 1 clone i had an issue with not sure if it was because of the issue or they have no stock but I havent seen it on their site ever since.

but yeah, id reccomend buying from sites that have reviews, as you can tell if people say its good no issues, or point of major/minor problems that would prevent you from buying it.

Thanks! I'll give these sites a try. Yeah I just checked the ebay description and my first mistake is that it didn't list the clone manufacture. That's pretty important. Did come in a spiffy box though so there's that...right? :)
