I am looking to RDAs for tying DIY flavors in the near future but just do not see putting down the $90~125 a pop for authentic RDAs as my plan is to use the only for flavor testing. I would like to have maybe 3/4 of them so cost is the first consideration.

I have no idea if what I want to do is even an idea worth considering but I do not want to load up a tank to try a new flavor then clean it then try to vape a new flavor on top of the first flavor....and so on.

Any ideas on the rda clone reviews and any better way to quickly try new DIY flavors would be deeply appreciated!!

Here is a great blog post on dripping by ECF member The Ocelot if you just want to give dripping a try without going the rebuildable route. Drip, Drip, Drip - The Sound of Dripping.

Disposable 510 Drippers

510 Standard Resistance Dripping Atomizer
Bridgeless 510 Atomizer, 2 ohms

Thanks for the response....hahaha...never heard of a disposable dripper....now I have more added stress on what to do...

I will have to consider these for sure as a viable option!!

Thanks again!!

I got a 30mm magma.

Super easy to put a coil in.
Unlike most drippers the top cap screws on instead of sliding down on o-rings, so no o-rings to wear out.
And it has adjustable center pin.

And I got a 30mm veritas.

Very unusual and well thought out design I think.
Only 1 airhole to worry about so as long as I lay it down with the airhole facing up (or at least -not down) no leak to worry about.
Doesn't seem to have adjustable center pin.

A couple cheap options would be an IGO-L or IGO-W (no W3,4 or any other number) either can be had for about $10 and are simple to build, if you want to go the building route.

For a "disposable" dripper / atomizer, the 306 is a good choice, easy to drip, easy to clean, good flavor...only downside, they need a special 306 style drip tip.

Simple Solutions is a place to collect the "absolute beginner" questions, rebuildable atomizers are a more advanced topic :)

Disposable attys are a great option, as well, but if you want to use an RDA then pretty much any one will do just fine for taste-testing since the basic design doesn't vary too much and you won't really need all the bells and whistles of a fancy atty just for sampling purposes

Thanks for sharing these choices...I have looked into these as options at first but when I saw the post about the disposable drippers that kinda got me to thinking that may be the way to go for the cost as I may want to try as many as 3 different flavors with out having to stop and clean and rewick for subsequent testing...
Being able to load up 3 drippers then do the taste testing the toss them.....
But...I a patient man so I've got time to think about it and continue to follow the great advice that is found here!!!

I wanted to go the RDA route until I started checking reviews and pricing the drippers....and found right quick like that the "Authentic" RDAs were not in anyway an affordable option and the clones though priced more reasonable seemed to have lots of issues with leaking, poor machining, missing parts, yada, yada, yada and so that kinda put a crimp in my plans to go with 3/4 clones.
But maybe I'm going about this all wrong....all new to this so I'm just leaning as I go...or trying to learn!!

Thanks so very much for you response!

Taste testing of my DIY flavors it the only reason for looking into the RDAs as I nor my wife have any interest at all in deriving our vapping pleasure from a dripper.
I know tons of folks feel that is the only way to go but its not for us.
I do want to get into RBAs but thats another story!!!

Thanks for your response and I apologize for posting in the wrong forum!!

If cost is the first consideration, there's lots of small cheap drippers.

Look at this eGo sized Smok rda: $6 fasttech price

I'd check out any of the Infinite clones. I have an authentic Magma and the Infinite clone for $25, and for the most part, the machining on the clone is just as good as the authentic. In some respects the machining on the clone is actually better, although the 510 connection is a little long. But generally speaking most of the Infinite clones are solid. I love the Magma for testing juices. Instead of putting in full size wicks that dip down into the wells, just put in stubby little wicks that just lay on the top of the deck so you don't need to fill the whole well, perfect for about 3-4 draws, and really easy to pull out and replace. You can also find the SXK Magma on Fasttech for only $15, a STEAL. Same thing as the Infinite (SXK manufactures most of the Infinite stuff). All the Magma's on Fasttech listed as 1:1 versions are the SXK/Infinite ones. If you're into flavor, it will be the best $15 you ever spend.

Forgot to add, I have a handful of authentics but I normally pick up a good clone to try it first, just to make sure I like the design.

Hahaha....this is just too much....if you know what your looking for....its out there.
I think I have found the answer to my DIY flavor testing.....this looks like the way to go. Tons of them for under $10 so I am thinking this is the way to go.

Though I am wondering what this means: In the item description.
COIL REBUILDABLE Yes
COIL REPLACEABLE No
Whats the difference in REBUILDING and REPLACING a coil??

Just curious!

Thanks for this awesome info!!

I'm doing the same thing. I'm using the Cisco Spec HH.357 now for 3 weeks and love it. You have to draw a little harder with them, but they are good.

Yeah...looking at this little piece of joy it looks like a lot of folks love using it.
Price is right!!

Thanks for the response!!

rebuildables have those screw posts where you attach your own coil.

a replaceable coil tank is like the protanks, nautilus etc, clearomizer type tanks; you buy replacement coils for them and screw them in.

Gonna have to leave this on one the table!!

Think about the size & shape of the air chamber of what you normally use when choosing a dripper. Otherwise, and trust me on this, the juice will NOT taste the same in your dripper as it does in your usual topper.

Now tj99959 you bring up a point that I had in the back of my mind about the size, shape, make up of the dripper and how much that would affect the taste, hit and cloud of the juice.
I am trusting you all as the beacon of light on the rocky coast to guide me to the safe harbor of great, safe and affordable vapping!!!

Thanks for your response.
