I hear a lot of people talking about how dripper's aren't for out and about but I kind of see it differently. Yea you do have to drip to refill it, but rda's are smaller and more portable. If you wick with some extra cotton rather then leaving bare juice or have a leak proofish rda you won't run into any problems. I carry a bandana just incase I leak hehehe.

If you start with an RDA, you can concentrate on coil building instead of coil building and wicking. Wicking in RTAs can be finicky and is yet another skill you would need to learn.

I would probably start with a Magma.

Yeah I'll second that.

Personally I like the Magma and Odin. Both easy to build on, can be build single or dual coil in a wide range of wire gauges and both capable of producing the best flavor achievable from an RDA.

Why the magma? I have one, I just don't get the hype. Flavor isn't any better than my helios and the helios is much easier to drip on.

I also think that a kayfun is much easier to coil and rewick than a dual coil dripper. I can coil and wick a kayfun in a few minutes. Takes me much longer to do that on a magma. Also once you find a setup that feeds continually, you tend to rewick less often with a tank. Just what I've noticed.

So I bought a Magma...love it! Then I bought a Hobo...love it! Now, I have an Igo-W Plus coming to use for tasting. I cut Ko Gen Do against the grain and put those strips into a little baggie. That way I can tear off a small piece as needed to put under the coil on the Igo when I want to try new juices.

Great;
once you have a couple rda's even if you use tanks, it means you have a quick way to vape if your tank is giving trouble instead of having to stop whatever you're doing to go fiddle with a tank.

My first Rebuildable was the Tohb RDA, I would recommend RDA's for learning to rebuild because you have to learn to Wick properly too. Wicking an RTA can be a PITA sometimes. Tanks like the Subtank offer the ability to use coils pre bought or an RBA deck that you can have access too without draining the whole tank.

IOW with a tank if you have too much or too little cotton and its built and full you have to take it apart drain the juice, remove wick, rinse, dry rewick.
Better get it right the first time ;)
RDA for learning to build and wick.

I started like most, with the Clearos and a Spinner battery, then moved up to an Aspire Nautilus Mini. After the Mini, I moved on to the Sub-Tanks, both the Atlantis version and the Kanger. I stayed there a while, then moved on to Drippers. Now I'm cursed, lol. I get so much more flavor and vapor from my RDAs that it's hard to go back to the Sub-Tanks. I still use them, but they're just not the same anymore.

I just purchased an Orchid V4 RTA, and while it's easily rebuildable and hits pretty good, it's still a far cry from the drippers, although it's about the same as the Sub-Tanks to me, with a little less airflow.

So, the RDAs are easier to build for just getting started, but be forewarned...they'll change your taste and vapor viewpoint, and make everything else seem just a little bland. At least that's been my experience, for what it's worth...:2cool:

My kayfun v2 is still my favorite. The thing just performs so well and so consistently. Flavor is also great imo.

It wicks better than my lemo drop. It rarely leaks unlike my Orchid v4. I don't have to be concerned with dripping so every hit is consistent.

Best part is that its to easy to wick. I honestly think that everyone should own a kayfun. May not be perfect for everyone but its worth having.
