So I got my first RTA the other day, a Goblin V2 by Youde. I have to say, this thing hits amazingly. Up until now I've been using either a melo or my doge V2 but I have to say, I'm really liking the Goblin. All the fun of rebuilding with convenience of a tank. My question to all of you rebuilders out there is which do you prefer? RDA's, RTA's or regular clearomizer tanks?

i prefer RDA's personally, for me it is just because it is more compact than RTA's, and I dont really find a need to vape in public anymore, that whole 'craving' feeling for me has subsided. When I first started though it was purely clearomizer/tanks. On the occaison I do vape between classes though, i just bring an RDA and only drip as much as im going to vape. an RDA doesn't leak if it doesnt have overflowing juice in it! Dont need to fill the juicewells if you are only going to take a few puffs.

I mainly use rda's on squonkers. Its really the best of both worlds. However, as far as tanks go, the origin v2 Genny is absolutely amazing. Its redefined the genesis atomizer. I own many rtas....my favorites being the orchid and the billow.... But the only tank I still use consistently is the origin.

RTA's are the way to go. All the performance of an RDA without having to drip constantly.... unendingly.... unceasingly.... like a broken water faucet that won't turn off all the way and goes drip drIP dRIP DRIP DRIP DRIP DRIp DRip Drip drip all damn night long like some maddening metronome of torture. Unless you like that sort thing. Some people like that sort of thing. Jeff Dahmer, John Gacy, Sam Berkowitz all liked that sort of thing. Yeah they all ended up doing some quirky things like killing people, putting their heads in the refrigerator to eat later (No one can finish a whole human head in one sitting) and turning their crawl spaces into a little grave yards but I am sure that wont happen to you. It doesn't happen to every one who drips. Look at ryedan and asbestos...the worst thing they ever did was hit the same hobo with their cars. Actually, ryedan hit him first knocking him into asbestos car going the other direction but to be fair, the hobo was drunk, dressed in green and thought he was in a LARP version of Frogger. So yeah.

RDA only because I mainly vape NET's which are tough on coils; RDA's are generally simple to maintain. BTW, not a serial killer here although have been known to kill many bowls of cereal but that's a story for another day (would have to be a very boring day though as eating cereal is kinda uneventful).

However, all joking aside, I find RTA's to be a pain to coil or wick; fat fingers, bad eyesight, and no patience is not good when trying to build coils and work on tiny decks. I always end up with burnt cotton or flooded channels. Just not worth the effort to me. When in on the road for a while, I use Nautilus tanks and was even thinking of getting a sub tank for these times. For how little I use them, it's worth the extra price per coil to get a satisfying vape and not have to worry if I did everything right and my build will last the trip.

I am more of a RTA guy. I prefer a tighter draw so a RDA with a loose draw really has little appeal for me. Dripping all the time gets on my nerves alot of the time. I am also more of a flavor chaser than a cloud chaser so my kayfuns really work well for me. I do have a RDA that I keep around to blow clouds on rare occasions, mainly just to show off. That is the great thing about having so many RDA/RTA on the market these days, there is something for everyone.

I'd go RDA for for home use and RTA or RDTA for out and about use, seems to work best for and less of a hassle.
I used to do this but now it's pretty much RDA's every place for me now. With these new RDA's with deep juice wells and top Vertical Airflow, you can drip enough juice to now have to drip again for a long while. I can honestly do 40 drops into that Aeolus I posted on the first page.

The only time I use my Kayfun or Lemo anymore is if I have too strong of a flavor since tanks are flavor muters by nature.

I prefer RG280 (thing with protank head), for which I rebuild coils. It is so convenient.
I have one RDA and two RTAs, but... For me vaping - mostly background activity (when reading, writing, talking or watching). So, no RDA for me - to much distraction from main activities. Two RTA clones that I have (Fogger V4 and Erlkonigin) are nice to vape but awful to service. So, they are collecting dust. Now I am waiting for mail from Fasttech with two more RTA to try. May be I'll retire my RG280, may be not.

They both have their place throughout the day. I'll use the Globlin almost all day because it's working so well for me and it's easy to just fill it. Also it's not as big as an amp draw as my RDAs.

When I'm home and I'm just relaxing. I have plenty of time to sit and drip. I'll end up taking less draws with the RDA.
