Hey guys, I have a couple newbie questions here. Hope somebody can help me out here.

So I just purchased my first RDA, just a cheap omega clone, and it came pre wicked with dual coils.

I checked the ohms on my itaste vv 3.0 .. First it read 1.4 , then I tightened the screws a little, it went to 1.3 to 1.0, tightened all the way, and it went to 0.7 and then I unscrewed it a bit, and it read 5.7, then 5.4. Screwed them back down tightly again and it's reading 0.7 steadily, after about 10 straight clicks.

I plan on vaping this with an nzonic v5 clone & Sony vtc4 battery 2100 mah

1. Am I suppose to wash this rda out before using?

2. Is it safe to use the pre made wicks that come with it? Or should I burn the coils with a lighter or dry burn before using?

3. Would the ohms jumping around like they did when I was playing with the screws be a problem? It never measured under .7 and the itaste has always been fairly accurate on the ohms.

I have terrible anxiety when it comes to this stuff. Thanks so much in advance for any help.

Ok thanks, I don't understand the meaning behind the link though..

that link is beginners guide for RBA, coils, ohm's, it's a good read, it's your choice, but the Nzonic is mechanical mod. There is no protection if something is faulty. If you're already experience in using a mechanical /RDA, then skip it.

Honestly bigcap I never use pre made coils or wicks because they make me uneasy and want to choke a poodle!!

I would grab some kanthal and cotton and build your own coils 28ga with 10 wraps around a 5/64 drill bit should foot the bill nicely

Haha ok thanks, I did buy some organic cotton squares, and I have some kanthal in 30g and the holes are 3mm pre drilled. I just was wondering since I have never built a coil, I plan to tonight, but I am just wanting to dive right in now. [emoji3]

I just bought the mech because I want to get into lower ohms, so I am not pulling every muscle in my throat to get a nice pull..thanks again

Throw those coils away.

All of the coils that I have ever seen that came in clone attys were complete unsafe junk, one my friend got, who was smart enough to have me rebuild before he used, was a dead short when I tested it.
I don't want to see what would have happened if his 26650 went into thermal runaway.

Thanks yeah, plus it being a clone from china came in an all black box with no company name, probably would be best to chuck em..thank you

cautionary note....what strength of nicotine are you currently using? Anything over 3-5mg on your first RDA, not advisable. Don't think that because you were vaping 21mg in your tank you can handle it dripping

It's obvious to everyone that you are very inexperienced based on your questions. It would serve you well to read all the links posted in that thread so that you know what you are doing.
