With these claptons in here I usually drip about 6-8 drops through the drip tipand I'm good for a little while. I've also been using the Scottish roll wicking method so that increases the vape time per drip session. If I put over 8 drops it starts spitting. I did 12 drops once; at that point I would've been better off just drinking the juice from the bottle, at least it wouldn't have been so hot.

What's the Scottish roll wicking method? I've never heard of that before.

Here's the video I watched, I found this because Reddit was going nuts about it a week or two ago.

Damn! I'm surprised he got that many hits off that without even filling it, even half way. I kinda always rolled my wick anyway but I didn't do all those other steps he did....I'll be giving this a shot. Thanks for posting this up!

Anytime man. You can still get dry hits but it's your own fault if you do because you get many many 'warning' hits where the flavor is just weak.

I haven't had a dry hit in probly well over a year, I guess after a while you get used to everything and you just know. But if this will prolong those affects then I'm all for that! I wonder if it works with any wick and not just ... cotton.

I have a tooooon of wegmans cotton balls laying around. I have yet to try it with that because I really don't like it, I definitely prefer KGD. I would think it would work with anything you can get into a thin sheet and roll up.

Now I see why everyone in here loved the royal hunter.....the mini is an amazing vape and an awesome rda. It's got a lot that I love about small attys and NONE of the bad. I haven't had it long at all but its nice for sure.

I got my petri in today and I'm not sure what to think of it. I had a hell of a time building on it, dual fused claptons (26g N80 fused with 36G N80) paralleled with 24G A1. Couldn't get the coils to glow evenly but I'm sure that's on me as I always have that issue. It vapes really well, the build is running at .12 ohms vaping at 120w. I've vaped nearly 15ml in the past two hours and it's a slight bit warm but nothing to bad. I did a side by side comparison with my 24 and the flavor is much better on the dotmod but the clouds are lacking though I buy the premium juice for flavor not clouds. I wanna experiment with some more builds which I will do when I get my second one this week, I got this one with a matching drip tip for $70 and the other one I have coming with a drip tip for $80 both brand new each only having one build. Considering the price new with a matching drip tip it was to good to pass up. I think my apprehensions right now are that I finally found something I like better than the 24 but only time will tell. So far so good though.

EDIT: I pulled out that last build because it was garbage, threw in some standard N80 fused claptons (2x 26G N80 core fused with 30G N80, 2.4mm ID, 6 wraps @ .16 ohms) and the flavor and cloud production is magnificent. I placed the coils nice and high, they glowed perfectly after a bit of strumming. I wicked and juiced it up with some Lost Art Space Rocks and when I took the first drag I about fell out of my chair. The fact that the other build was such a hassle should have been a red flag. Now I have no second thoughts about shelving my 24 for a while.

I see ya got it in your edit. Before I built my first coil in it, I saw that the air holes are actually kinda high, which is a good thing for keeping the juice from leaking, but to get your coils to sit properly in the airflow, imho, you have to push them up higher than where the post holes actually are or your air is going to just pass over the tops of the coils. Looks like you've compensated for that though. I love this thing!

I loved the Petri for a long while however once I got really into building it just became to restricted. I dont like a mammoth amount of air but IMO for the way I currently vape I need a bit more air, not a lot, just a touch more. A Tugboat with a comp cap to me is perfect for example
I can see where you're coming from. Still waiting for that perfect two post atty, stro mini v2 could have been it but they killed it with the bottom airflow and the way the afc is. It's made of delrin and I had parts of it end up melting. The velocity mini looks good but I refuse to use something that's not authentic.

So the troll top cap fits perfectly on the dotmod base, that gives you the option for adjustable airflow and a bit taller chamber if that's what you like. It's also a fairly tight fit so I don't see any leaking. The dotmod driptip also fit's in the trolls 510 adapter though it's rather tight. The flavor is slightly less but not by much.

I've actually been using my Aeolus v2 exclusively since I got it. Does the threaded base add an additional weird step? Yes. Does the thing put out amazing condensed flavor? Yes. Function > Form on that one for me :D
Mines in the vape mail. Any tips on bottom feeding it, pics?

Honestly for the price, I'd pass. Yeah it's a good vape but I feel like flawless charges WAY to much for what it is. There's plenty of attys out now that are 3 post and have small chambers. Unless it's something you have an itch for then by all means scratch it. But in my opinion it's over priced for what it is.

No offense taken trust me, I knew someone in here would lol. But the fact of the matter is flawless is a rip off and needs to step it up, they have what, 3 drippers all the same OLD tried and old design, come one give it up already. And yes there's plenty of stuff out there cheaper and BETTER then a tug with a slam cap. I'm tired of people acting like the tug slam cap combo is God's gift to the vaping community. It's overpriced mediocre and should be called like it is, sorry.

Overpriced? Probably. The mediocre part is subjective. I don't see what the Stumpy does that's so great yet it gets constantly chugged on this forum. Two post drippers are hardly new or innovative. And that thing costs the same as the Tugboat V2.
The stumpy part I'll agree with cause that I don't see either. But as you said about subjective so is the 2 post thing. No ones gonna change how I see them, there hardly innovative with any 3 of there rda's, its the truth, most people won't like that and that's fine I figured I'm gonna be in the majority here for speaking my mind.

I still think the Tug Slammed Cap combo gives a very nice vape but I've used it less and less recently. I mainly use my Snapdragon, Le Magister, two Hellfire drippers, Derringer with Doppel cap and Odin V2. The only three drippers I want (well, the only three that have been announced) are the Nectar Micro, Origen Little 16 BF and the NarDA. Well, okay I probably want the Hellfire drippers I don't have as well - the Raptor and Viper. All three are single coil attys with relatively restricted airflow. I'm tired of the flavor of the moment attys that people swear up and down are the end-all-be-all for about a week and then move on to the next while trashing the atty they loved the week before. I don't build fancy coils and don't need the latest RDA with an even bigger deck which pretty much equals bigger chamber which pretty much equals less flavor.

True, that is annoying as well, but honestly that's not going away any time soon. All of what I said was said for a reason and I've felt that way for a while now but I havent spoke up just cause everyone LOVES it, which is fine. I never denied it being a good vape I too own one, do I use it anymore? Nope. Was it good? Key word being was, yes it was. Just like you said the flavor of the month......but when every flavor of the month is the same old design? What would you call that. Other then that I'm done cause its just the way I feel just like everyone else in here is entitled to that. Everyone likes what they like, this only started cause I answered honestly to what the man asked.

I said it myself earlier - it's all subjective. Wasn't saying you were wrong or anything. Trust me, when I brought up the Stumpy being nothing special multiple people took me to task over it. It is what it is. I have one and use it but it's no better than what it copied - the Derringer. And let's be very honest, EM took the Derringer, dropped it to two posts and gave it a different look. Whoopie.
