I'm really looking forward to that hobo drifter and I have been checking the hobo customs site pretty fanatically and its not mentioned yet also the noPity looks ridiculously easy to build in not to mention is super freaking sexy and it also has a BF pin which is huge because I am now pretty sure a squonk mod is going To be my next purchase. I was going to by the panzer dna but I am truly intrigued with not having to drip constantly.

So I have been looking and asking around and the steamcrave squonker seems to be the entry level choice however I have an extreme case of gear acquisition syndrome and I am afraid I will buy the steamcrave squonk and 2 days later want to upgrade to something nicer haha

Oh, okay. Didn't even see that! Thanks for the heads-up.
Not that it should necessarily be a deterrent. But the only 26500 battery I've been able to find is the Efest. It is 3000 MAH and rated for continuous 28amps, but seems to me I've read somewhere that maybe it's not really better than some of the really good 18650 batteries?
I've almost pulled the trigger on this one a few times... and I've never seen one for sale second hand.

I have the SteamCrave (& the Panzer incidentally) & I think it's an excellent squonker for the money. The battery life is meh at best but it's rock solid otherwise. I recommend it to anyone looking for a regulated squonker especially when it was on sale for $60. I paid full price for mine & still feel it was worth it.

Hmmm it sounds like a solid investment and I see it on there site for $60 !! I wish it had SS TC but I'm probably not going to want to use tc too much on a single 18650 anyways....

How do you like the panzer fish?

I haven't run SS on the SteamCrave that I can remember but I usually have my Thump on it with dual Ti coils & it has no problem with that. I will try some SS on it since I just built the SOD5k last night with SS & the DNA 40 has been running that perfectly in TC.

Edit to add- IMO TC helps with battery life so on my Sunboxes I find the battery life is better running TC than power mode. I've also found the same from any of my other TC mods.

The Panzer is nice, it's a little wide (like the SteamCrave) but still feels nice in the hand. It performs like a DNA 200 should & the battery life is excellent. I've been running the Griffin with dual twisted SS coils at 430f & 55 watts.
