I love that the airflow adjustment can happen with just a turn of the tip (even though it's just using my own tip). It's got some good qualities, obviously, but the draw is not good to me and even though it's just the first build, I can't see what I could do differently with this build. I don't think it's the build to be honest.

I don't see anything wrong with your build so I would say try playing with the height of your coils. I run mine towards the top of the posts. I also forgot that some folks like to exhale before they inhale, I doubt that's a good idea with the Thump due to the air holes. I run a standard length drip tip & have a beard with no problems but don't exhale before the inhale. It's almost a shame that the Stumpy has ruined most of us for other atty's because it just flat out works, almost makes everything pale in comparison.

I'm real curious to hear your thoughts on the Evolve, I like it but it ain't no Stumpy either!

Been there, done that :) . Ended up with a couple of Grado and Sennheiser cans along with a few Shure and Ultimate Ears in-ear monitors that I never really used outside of posting pictures on the forum :( . And a couple of DACs and interconnects as well...

I got the Grado budget too and a Maverick Audio DAC...another thing I need to upgrade! hehe

I actually did lift them up after I took the pic. But, I am kinda hesitant to go further due to clearance. I may try a smaller ID.

See, after you saying the eEVOLve is not a good atty for flavor, I am thinking I may keep it in the box for now. LOL. Resale is easier when it's unopened. hahaha. I got too much stuff to test out to be trying to make an atty do something it don't want to do.

Okay, I am TOTALLY braindead right now. My daughter is climbing all over me wanting to use my computer. It's so hard to focus on my 'work' with a toddler at my desk. But it's the BEST kinda problem I could ever have.

I'm surprised you got an evolve with having the no pity and all. I'd love to try that no pity but I think I'm gonna pass if it ever comes to a reseller any time soon.

And one thing with moving the build on something like the thump is the inside doesn't allow too much for the imagination. Meaning it's small in there so you can only go so high or so low, or so big on the diameter of the coil. I love little rda's but this is something I don't miss either. Especially small attys that force you to be so close to an insulator, case and point the hobo v2. Sometimes you just can't help it.

No wonder it was so hard to get these, people are buying multiples. Personally there should of been a 1 limit cap on these.

Yeah, in my opinion, with items like this, one should be the cap.
