Take my experiences with a grain of salt 'cause I only had a Reo for maybe a month. One main problem for me was it's kind of a pain in the .... to change flavors. Yes, you can have multiple bottles and just put in a new bottle with a new flavor and re-wick your atty. However, the tube that runs from the bottom of the mod's 510 and into the bottle still retains some juice. Okay, so rinse it, right? Sure, I ran water straight through tube to clean it out. I did that over and over and over again. I even mixed up a bit of warm, soapy water and continually ran that water through the tube. Rinsed it clean, dried it up. The tube still smelled like the original juice I used. Okay, I thought, maybe it's just like a dripper when the o-rings still have a bit of the scent from a juice but doesn't affect the flavor. Nope, I could still taste the original juice. I went through three bottles of a second juice and at the end of the third I could still taste the first juice I used. Remember, that's after rinsing, running warm soapy water through the tube continuously, rinsing again, re-wicking my atty. The flavors leech into the feeding tube. So unless you want to buy multiple tubes, multiple bottles and change those out every time you want to change juice, you're probably going to have to stick to one flavor. And that's the rub. There are tons of squonking fans and they sing the praises of squonking. And that's fine. If it works for them, great. The thing is most of those people have a multiple squonkers with an atty and flavor for each squonker. Yeah, I'm sure it does work great that way but I'm not buying 10 squonkers just so I can enjoy 10 flavors. Not only that, all those attys you currently have and enjoy? Useless unless you're handy and can mod them for bottom feed yourself or find someone to do it for you. Usually for $20 a pop. And that's if the atty suitable to be bottom fed in the first place. So now you've bought the atty and possibly paid more money on top of the original price to use on your new squonker.Would you share your experiences with squonking? I thought about going bottom feed but hadn't made my mind. A little advice may help prevent me from making a decision I will regret later.
See, in your case it'll probably be fine. I like to switch flavors a lot so my only real option is to buy multiple squonkers and that gets expensive real quick. The Reo is one of the cheaper options and it's still $180. And if you want regulated, you're looking at $300+.I'm on the list for Paul's MyMod. It will be my first bottom feeder and first mech. I'm thinking to treat it as I do my Cthulu RTA, one flavor (in this case straight menthol.) I've had the same coil and wicking in it for a coupla/three months without changing. Have it with me all the time especially when driving around.
With NETs I vape I have a couple that are favorites so, I may have two bottles to switch off. They're close enough in flavor that a little bleed through won't be too bad.
It's funny you say that, I am working on one now using the sx330 chip out of my Sigelei 150, dual 18650, and a bottle for bottom feed. I think the box size i settled on trying first should be just about the right size to fit everything at around 3.6" x 3.6" x 1.6", albeit a square in lieu of a rectangle shape we're all used to.$100, not bad. I wish there was a way to have a dual 18650 squonker but with a bottle and two batteries the size would be ridiculously big.

I don't have an exact size of the holes, but the draw is very similar to the Hastur wide open or the Derringer with 2 holes open from what I remember of that one. It isn't real airy and not restricted. Very enjoyable vape... RxW has broken in and the flavor has gotten even better than yesterday. I was really excited for the Stumpy I have on the way, but not so much this morning because this is really hitting the spot right now....I didnt know there were any screws, its not really about how hard building it is was just worried that would not give a good connection. Theres just two atties I want to get, one more Petri for ni200/ti and then a cerakoted tug (sold my SS for this reason) then I will thin the heard a bit and order a v2 454. I have been reading on it for a while and it really does sound like a great attie, looks amazing to! Theres nothing else really after that CURRENTLY that I am super intrested in. Hopefully we see some more nice flavor atties released this year boys!
Muzichead, do you know how big each airhole is on the 454 2? I would like to use it for dual coils so natrually I would only want the two holes where my coils are open. I like a little bit of a restricted pull and those airholes dont look giant so I think I would like it. If you know the size of the airholes though do tell OR if you have a few atties you can compare the draw to with two holes wide I would appreciate it.
Without going into a long drawn out post, you do have a cheaper option that will work for your situation... If your Reo is one with the newer 510 connection in it, you could just buy extra 6ml bottle and tube kits that Rob sells and swap out the bottle, tube, and cap assy all in one shot. They are only $4 each. I would also suggest using RxW for wicking as it can be dry burned in place to clean up for quicker juice changes... Just a couple suggestions... No worries about that, I have only used RxW for almost 2yrs now for wicking... Stumpy won't be here til tomorrow, but will let you know. What setup do you have in your Stumpy? I see a lot of people are using single coil between the posts. I figured that would be the one I'd try first on it.When you get the Stumpy can you compare the draw of the Stumpy wide to the 454 2 with just the two holes wide? Dont stuff to much cotton in the Stumpy or it will really choke off the air.
I already sold my Reo. Switching out all of that stuff eliminates the convenience of squonking for me, though I appreciate that you are right and it gives a cheaper alternative to buying multiple squonkers. I really wanted the Reo to do it for me. And it did for about month or so and then I got fed up. Obviously, I'm a bit fickle lol.Without going into a long drawn out post, you do have a cheaper option that will work for your situation... No problem. I am not a flavor switcher so I don't have that problem at all... I have vaped the same juice now for 3 1/2yrs and don't see changing it anytime in the near future. I really could never quite grasp the whole changing of the flavors thing!! Makes me wonder what analogs did people smoke when they did that?. I was a menthol guy for 40+ yrs and never wavered... Non-menthol never appealed to me in the slightest way. Was way too dry where menthol gave me that cooling effect and actually had some taste to it.I already sold my Reo. I changed brands a few times when I smoked but I mostly stuck to Camel Lights toward the end. With e liquid, I just find myself wanting to try different flavor profiles. I find that I prefer off the wall flavors more now, like Mad Murdock's Maha Ras. It's just more interesting than trying another custard. No problem. Well, I have built a handful of mods in the past (before a 100w mod was $60 lol). Recently I got tired of dripping so much. Running Clapton coils at high wattages has increased my juice consumption to 20-25ml a day (I DIY so that's not a concern). But dripping every few hits just gets annoying. I Have a few tanks, but the vape is just not the same for me as a good Clapton coiled dripper.I'd be interested too...as well!

I was looking into getting a Reo, but after running regulated mods for the better part of a year now, I just couldn't bring myself to go back to a single battery mech, especially one that wouldn't handle a low build. One day while staring at my Sigelei 150, I caught myself wondering, "how can i throw a bottle in this?". That question made me take apart the Sig and see if there was any spare room. There was not. So, naturally, I took the chip out to see if it would fit in a Hammond 1590B box i had sitting around. It fit with a spare battery sled I had, but there wasn't enough room for a bottle. Some research brought me to find a box with internal dimensions that SHOULD accomidate the dual battery sled, the 150w chip, and a bottle. I have everything now to start except the box (payday is tomorrow), so I will be buying a Hammond 1590Y and seeing what i can do.
