Didn't get much feedback from you guys. But I'm gonna pull the trigger on an mxv4 tomorrow. The airflow on the bottom looks similar to the magma and I have more or less been able to prevent that from leaking so I'll figure it out. It looks to be a good atty and I have heard a lot of good stuff about it.

Sorry, I did not see your question but please re post. I think the Mx4 is trash, leaky, muted flavor etc etc. Lets try to find something else you can get.

Is it first dripper?
How much power do you have?
Do you prefer flavor over clouds or what?
Do you like to sub ohm or what?
Budget?

At least let me advise you a bit before you go into the Mx4

Update on the phenotype. I wish it did single coil but right now I set up a single ni200 Clapton. I'm running at 80 watts on my dna200 and the airflow is insane. Def a cloud producer but tough to dial the airflow small. But I did buy it for clouds so I have an atty for my crazy builds. I don't like the flathead screws tho. But the post setup is great. Flavor is decent too for the airflow it has. And I mean tons of airflow.

Lol I have a feeling you bought the wrong RDA for temp control and especially for single coil.. What is tough about "dialing the airflow small" though? Looks like with the 45 degree AFC it would have a crazy amount of adjustability? A lot of people are raving about this RDA so far on Instagram, I won't have mine until Wednesday though so no idea yet.

Got my stro mini v2 in today and I must say I'm really enjoying it so far. Threw some twisted build in there from my coil box, maybe triple twisted 28g or triple twisted 26g, 6 wraps 2.5mm ID coming in at .15 ohms vaping at 100w (No heat at all). When you build you have to put the coils kind of close to the center posts so the delrin top cap doesn't scrape your coils. The juice well isn't super deep, more on the shallow side but due to the way the deck is you can get a lot of wick in there and still get ample juice. I'm running it with only the bottom airflow open and the draw is perfect. One thing I did notice you have to spin the barrel if you want to close off the bottom airflow which puts the main airflow out of alignment with your coils, also with the way it is, the coils sit above the airflow slots so air comes in underneath. Nothing mentioned above has been an issue. I'm using the antispitback chuff cap that came with the atty and it's fantastic, not so much as a drop of juice in my mouth. It also comes with a 510 adapter and a chuff with out the spit back protection. I tried my dotmod friction tip in the 510 adapter and it was super tight, had to use some pliers to get it out, weather it's the drip tip or the 510 I'm not sure. Once the 510 adapter is broken in I'm sure it'll be fine. Now on to the vape, I am blown away. I'm a flavor atty junkie, my favorite being the stumpy, and this is right there with it...maybe even better I'll have to do some more testing. The vape is dense, warm and not only is the flavor off the charts but this thing can chuck some clouds. I'm honestly really surprised with this atty, I expected to toss a build in there and vape it for an hour then put the stumpy back on it's throne but with how well this is preforming it won't be going anywhere anytime soon, I may have to break out one of my other box mods and pit the two to see who really is king. I'm glad I got this, it's a huge improvement over the v1 and well worth the $50. As it stands now it's in my top two (Stumpy is #1 for now). Gonna take it to work tomorrow and see how it preforms and if I see any issues pop up I'll report back but as it stands now I can defiantly recommend this.

EDIT: Forgot to add the barrell does fit pretty snug on the base and does take a bit to push it down, sure after the o-rings break in it'll be alright. Also after you dry fire your coils and put the barrel on to see if the coils are touching it don't try and push the top down with your palm, those coils are still really hot.

Yeah, wait! I didn't see your post either. The Magma was my first RDA. Loved the ease of build and flavor but, as you know, it's leaks. I was willing to put up with it because the flavor was so good. I tried the MXV4. Couldn't get a decent build. It leaked all the juice out. It was a pain.

Then, higher side air flows and top air flows started showing up.

I'd suggest instead of the MXV4 you could get the Sabot for the same price: Sapor RDA Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer by Wotofo or The Vector: Find the The Vector RDA by VLS Online Here - Viper Vape

For a little more the Royal Hunter: Royal Hunter RDA by The Council of Vapor

The RH and Vector can rival the Magma for flavor. The Sapor comes close. Both easy to build. Neither leaks.

Good Luck!

I wanted it for dual. I built it dual Clapton but it was .03 and saying short. So I cut a coil off. Then realized it was saying short cause I had the wattage set too high for a .03 dual Clapton lol. And it does adjust a lot but by the time u get any restriction it's such a narrow slit of air. It is a great rda I guess but I wish they used different screws. I see them stripping soon.

Dang the Vector is only 29.99! and I think there is a 10% off code for vipervape as well, not my favorite atty but that is a pretty good deal! I agree about the low side airflow, it can be a pain in the ..... I love this Baalv2 I got recently but I had gotten so used to just dumping juice in the Aeolus that I keep forgetting and doing the same thing with the Baal and it leaks all over the place..aggravating.

What gauge are you using for your Claptons? I would think it would be hard to get claptons with a high enough resistance out of nickel. Seems like it would mess up the TC as well with the other wire acting as a heatsink throwing off the resistance table? I see a lot of people using it with just the one or 1 1/2 slots open. I did see one guy doing single coil twisted build between the posts so you could always try that. Good luck!

I got my Vector from them but, I already have another and one that's Chowder BF'd so this last one I got is up on the Classies.

Hey guys. Can someone help me out and suggest some flavor builds for a Manta v2 and a Vector? Mine are Chowder Bf'd and I run them on mech squonkers. I keep hearing people say these attys have great flavor but I'm not getting it at all. I've tried high and low ohms but still, I'm just about ready to retire these. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

@TorontoOntario I never thought about it until this morning. I measured the air holes on the 454 V2 that I had. I used the 2.5mm rod from the coil master that I have and there is still some play in it and the 3mm rod won't go in, so with that said I am guessing 2.7mm would be a good ballpark for size. Remember also, the holes are oblong as well. I think the reasoning for this is the atty was designed for vertical coils. I vaped mine last night with all 4 holes open and it didn't take away much of the flavor and quite frankly, it was too much air flow for my vape style... I can vape the Stumpy with all 3 holes open, but prefer just 2 for my vape as well, but 3 is doable. Hope this helps you out.
