Hell I still have that huge box from sallys sitting in the corner of my house lol. Rayon was all I used. But I noticed it hurt my throat after a while. But I used that stuff religiously for a long time.

works really great, flavor is really really great! amazing really, but as the coil is really close to the drip tip the heat of the vape is really significant, I've lowered the coil a bit and it did help, but I think I need more ohms on this frankenatty

Yea, Nichrome 80 is the best stuff around. I personally ONLY use 80 when using Nichrome. I like it cause I can do a couple more wraps for the same restince and it ramps up QUICK

I thought it was just me lol. I mean there's stuff I like about the bacon v2 over the VCC. Like how much you get and how cheap it is. But it's just not for me. When I'd rather use native wicks over it that ain't good lol but I didn't like Japanese cotton pads either. Like I said earlier it could just be me who knows.

I feel ya, I did really like KGD for a good while but I moved away from it. After coming back and trying it was just not for me. I wanted CB2 to be my go to cause I can get it locally and its cheap plus you get a lot but VCC provides the best flavor IMO. It also lasts and lasts.

Same here. I can get it locally and it's cheaper. VCC on the other hand, I have to order online and wait for it to come in. That's really why I have bacon v2 a go cause I wanted it to be another option for me in case I ran out of VCC.

I don't even use KGd. I use generic Japanese cotton made by master of clouds. Way better and easier to wick than rayon IMO. So is KGd really that much better or is just a brand name?

So why doesn't everyone say Japanese organic cotton? They just throw the term KGd out there like it's synonymous.

Master of Clouds? How much ya paying for that. THAT sounds gimmicky TBH. All JOC is essentially the same. Puff, KGD, Shisedo etc.

Koh Gen Do is a type of JOC. Its what everyone started using back in the day. Its really no better then anyother JOC.

I like that KGD is neat little squares in a box. I know how wide to cut the wick. I like pulling the "hard" sides off and if I need to skinny it up I can pull a slivered strip off. On vertical coils I center a piece over the coil and use a 1/16" drill bit to push it down so it folds on itself.

Just put a quad in mine and really enjoying it. Quad 24g, 2.5mm ID, 6 wraps coming in at .12 ohms vaping at 115w. Vapor is warm, dense and very flavourful. I'm honestly surprised at this atty, was really easy to build and wick and gives off amazing flavor. Think my next build will be the same except I'll use 316SS instead of kanthal.

Where are you getting your SS wire? IS that like what is used in the Crown heads?

Oh yeah, I got a Vortice coming. Just in case anyone is wondering about it. Who knows, maybe I am the only one.

In between N80 and KA1. Its even lower resitance then N80 though. 24g 316L is similar to 20g KA1 in resitance.
