Got to disagree with you there, bud (even though we're all just presuming to know what the Vortice will be like). The Aromamizer is super cheap (not "cheap" in price, but cheap), comes caked in machine oil all through those airflow channles (that is not easy to get out) and it has an uber-restrictive airflow that makes builds lower than 0.5-0.8Ω not vape too well (not enough air to cool it off). The deck is super wonky being that you have to have your coils really low (to get hit with air) and yet not have your wicks too close to the walls (which is super hard) so that you don't cut off the airflow even more than it already is. The screws are world-class f-ups and will clip and back out of any gauge and, for some strange reason, the Aromamizer makes creamy eliquids taste terrbile.

Oh, and the Aromamizer is a three-post deck. I said all that to say, if I can buy three-post drippers masquerading as something other than an Igo-W, I can surely buy the Vortice and not feel for one second that I was wasting my money on an atty when I could have two Aromamizers. Hell, I'd sooner buy $40 worth of Dekang than buy another Aromamizer.

But, I have nothing against the Aromamizer or anyone that likes it, it's just was one of the top 5 dumbest purchases I ever made since I've been vaping. Damn youtube reviewers had me going and not one of them menoined any of tha

Note: this is not me uplifting the Vortice, just me venting about a waste of two good $20 bills that I lost a few months ago.
Well, I was talking more about the swirling or vortex or whatever you want to call it type airflow. That seems pretty similar. Not exact, mind you, but close enough.

As to the quality of matching, cleanliness and all, I've got no clue as I never bought an Aromamizer and I won't be buying a Vortice. I'll just say that higher price doesn't equal better QC. I've bought multiple higher end RTAs and RDAs and they came filthy. And as I found out with the Kennedy, they can have wire clipping screws as well.

I'm just getting annoyed by all these companies trying to make another small atty and capitalize on the Derringer trend.

Luckily the only RDA I've ever purchased that came filthy was the Aromaizer. But to your point, high price does not equate to quality, just like my point, low price doesn't equate to a deal. But I think we are all in agreement here that innovation seems to lacking something terrible in the RDA market, whether high-end or low-end. Yet, nothing gets me giddy like a new RDA.

A person that I really respect (a mod manufacturer) recently told me that his favorite RDA is the Nectar. Has anyone here got that one? I keep forgetting about it.

The Vortice RDA

Anyone seen this? I kinda dig it, plus it's a two-post, comes squonk ready, single- or dual-coil sleeves and chuff top. I wonder if this will finally be a real innovation of airflow design. Maybe????

Cool that Vaporshark are making RDA's now, I don't get it though that airflow looks like a fail to me, the slots are closed off so the air will only come out the top of them and with that cap it doesn't look like there is any room to build your coils up over top of that airflow. Plus the slots are centered on the sides of the posts instead of the middle of them? Gonna have to have some crazy contorting coils to center them if there's even room up there to fit the coils. Maybe i'm wrong though and this will turn out to be the greatest thing since sliced bread lol

Edit: It's funny that everyone's talking about mechs now, just ordered a new parallel "box" it's not a box though and a new atty yesterday, it's supposed to be here tomorrow, I can't wait lol

See, I don't do this. I just look and say, oh, that looks cool. Then I get the atty and realize the pics should've told me how much of a bad idea the purchase would be. I am totally a sucker for blurring my eyes at wrong time and waiting until I have no choice but to open them. But yeah, where the hell does the air meet the coils?

Look both ways before you cross. Gotta remember early lessons.

Literally stopped by here on my way to check out the Nectar Genesis Tank. Thinking about getting a bit adventurous on FT ;)

I think that you really need to find the right RDA/driptip combo
There are DT that IMO do improve flavor

So true, since I got one of those dotmod widebore friction tips I will not use any other tip. Never thought I would say this but they are well worth the 25 bucks!

I only mentioned the price difference because we have talked about atty prices recently and that Vortice, to me, doesn't look to be worth $80. I do agree that cheap doesn't always equal good deal but I'm more likely to take chances with reasonably priced attys.

I have the "RTA" version of the Nectar on the way. I mean technically I realize it's a tank but all three versions are exactly the same except for capacity. I just think of the tank as a really big juice well.

I know, man. You were correct then and now, I just needed to vent when I saw the word "Aromamizer". And as far as the Vortice goes: is it worth $80? Nope. Not by a long shot. I don't even have to have one to know that!

Just out of curiosity what's been your guys favorite build in the stumpy? Tried out a few different builds and haven't found one that really wow'd me. Done so far (all dual, 2.5mm, 5/6 wraps): Twisted 26g, twisted 26g wrapped with .5mm ribbon (this was really difficult to get in there), triple twisted 28g (3.0mm ID, 8 wraps this shorted after a few drags) and did some center build, one large center coil. Was gonna revisit the triple twisted 28g and maybe try parallel 24g. Also got the chuff cap and the cool cap in today for the stumpy and they'r really great, would recommend

Single macro-coil Clapton running in between the posts with the airflow behind the posts (running left to right). Don't remember the ID. And I used the UD Clapton wire. Good stuff right there and cheap for a lot!!!!!!!!!!

It sure as hell wowed me. Actually really wowed me! Wowed others I let try it. They were like, well, "".

@Mr.Mann - do you get a lot of spitback with that build?

Gotta say, I initially wrote off the Iti Rawa but after watching Grimm's review I'm intrigued. The price point is high, though.

It all depends on how I wicked it, but no, no more than usual -- oddly enough. But I no longer have the Stumpy so I can only speak from memory.

Have you tried the Marquis Mr Mann. If you LOVED the Veritas I am sure thr Marquis is for you.

Don't like to speak on it because of how regarded it is, but I did not like the Marquis. I had no problem spending the money on that becasue I just *knew* it was going to be my favorite atty ever. To me, the draw felt hollow and the vape felt thin -- no matter how much vapor I put out. I thought the Veritas was worlds better for the vape I like, but I hated the build on it (though I got pretty good with it). Marquis was great for building, just I wasn't fond of the vape.

Ok. Well we all feel diffrent, no worries. I like the Tugboat:p

Man, I made only a couple posts about it becasue I could not believe it didn't rock my world! It's one that I generally don't speak on becasue I am convinced that it was a personal issue and not anything to do with that atty becasue too many people I respect love it.

We agreed on that earlier in the thread. I think you worded it pretty well in your previous post - the vape felt hollow. I don't really know how to describe it. The flavor was not what I was expecting after reading gobs of praise for the Marquis. And that's fine 'cause we all have different tastes.

I need to jump in on the atty stock market and sell some stuff so I can buy a Petri.

Haha. Atty stock market, kills me. Im getting ancy over here waiting to eventually pull the trigger on the Origen V3. I think (for my taste) the Petri is a tad loose, 3mm holes. Soooo, I gotta think I will LOVE the draw of the Origen V3 with the 2.5mm draw it provides at max. I also saw a Sapor at a local store, they will sell it to me for $30 in. I probally wont buy it but I may. Probally not.
