Is he saying there's not much flavor on there? Rip said it's his favorite rda to date

Yes, Rip did say that. I like Rip, but I prefer taking the word of people that I can actually talk with.

On a 1 to 10 scale with 1 being "So muted you may as well vape unflavored" and 10 being "My god it's like drinking the juice", the Velocity is a 5 IMO. Average. If you're mainly after flavor, I'd say there are many better attys to pursue.

And I know someone's gonna come along and say " I rock dual Adamantium Plasma Welded coils at 1.21 gigawatts and the flavor is awesome!".

My build preference is TC, ni200, 28ga, single coil (3.5mm x 10-13 wraps), cc rayon, usually between 8 and 15 watts. Quite happy with those choices. Even had good luck on Kayfun v4 (with invert air screw for improved connectivity) and Erl.

But got bored; I like flavor bouncing. So pulled out modded magma again and setup worked well. Then thought to try Veritas with TC; previously abandoned due to overheated vape. Wow, even better. But taste buds again bored after a while.

Thanks to this thread ordered stumpy and made first build today -- very nice! Also trying Nectar nano; should arrive within few days. Thanks guys.

Now you've got me thinking about A6 and even mini-A7 builds. Haha, don't think build will fit mini but might taste great!

I agree, the velocity doesn't provide me a satisfying flavorful Vape. It's a dream to build on, but the chamber is way too tall and the airflow too confusing. I have shelved mine for some time now. I'd love to run another cap on it but the posts are too tall. I know someone modified theirs to fit a shorter cap but i can't bring myself to do it, even on my tobeco clone.

I thought that modified build-deck was on the Stro. Dunno. I saw there are some ..... out of ..... that make a mini "Velocity." But I don't talk about that stuff. ;)

Sold my velocity awhile ago, could never get a good vape regardless of any changeable variables. I have both the Stro Mini v1 and v2. The v2 fixed everything that was wrong with the v1, save for adding bottom airflow. The Stro v2 is a great RDA, provides amazing flavor and is just as easy to build as the velocity and I highly recommend it. With all this being said I haven't touched any of my attys since getting the Kennedy 24 almost a week and a half ago. I dunno what it is about this atty but the vape is great, awesome flavor and it looks great on all my mods. Currently my favorite atty.

Thanks the rh recommendation guys. Sorry for the interjection. It's weird it's like my build is doing better now that I've broken it in. Plus I'm still trying to perfect my diy juices. So if flavor is off it's often cuz I'm learning that. I might buy some premade to get a baseline for my builds

So who's got some new stuff?? Or some new stuff coming in.

Just juices, a DNA 200 mod and I'm about to order a bunch of N80 tonight. Haven't seen any RDA's that have really wow'd me. Still waiting for "the one", two post with large post holes, top down airflow and small form factor. The phenotype L is alright but it spits and the flavor is meh.

Nice! You seem to want exactly what I want and a couple others in this thread too. I was almost about to get the phenotype l cause my local vape shop got them in but I can't get past that air flow, that's just too much for me.
My thump should be here Monday. Will build, vape and post my experience.

Make sure you report back with your experience! Can't wait.

Question: would you guys prefer me to build my standard build (24g N80, 7 wrap, 3mm) to start or some sort of clapton (whatever fits, hopefully a 32/24 dual coil or even better, 32/2x26 fused clapton dual)? Doesn't matter to me; however if I can get claptons in here I doubt I will ever try a standard build.

Start with your preferred build that way you have something to compare it to and can compare it without reasonable doubt then branch out if you need.

Haha, alright, dual fused claptons if possible then.

Sorry a bit late to the party here :) I have had a Thump for about a week and here are a few quick observations.

1. It really is tiny , tiny Chamber, tiny deck and tiny juice well.

2. The flavor is really nice very dense and warm, The Marquis is my other favorite for flavor and this one is more intense.

3. I initially put in 24awg 3mm 0.3 ohm coils and while they just fit the vape is super hot and the cap gets burn your hand hot.As you can see in the picture I am running it with a heat dissipater 510 adapter. I am currently running 26awg 2.5mm at 0.5 and that seems to be a happy medium.

I hope that is of some help :)
