In that case, I may wait until a future revision. Because now I have the Ohman Pancake in mind...

Since it will be available in shops, you could always check one out in person should you be curious. It's really hard for me to say even if mine is from a production batch. Either which way, the vape is ultimately what I am interested in. The looks of it are clean and well done, it's just certain aspects of the deck seem rushed. I forgot how much I take machining for granted.

so far I can say it has more airflow than the Sub Zero

Wow, more air flow?? That's most likely gonna be way too much for me. With the sub zero, I got great flavor as long as I kept it under 0.15 ohms or I put something insane on it; not sure if I want to HAVE to go even lower to get the heat I like. I can also imagine the chamber being quite a bit larger due to the 24mm diameter vs. 22mm diameter.

Not trying to be a debbie downer or anything but to me, the magma reborn looks like nothing more than fixes to the new Kennedy or a rehash of the sub zero (highly unlikely though considering the sub zero didn't come out that long ago and I'm sure Paradigm has been working on this for a while). I really liked the original magma and the last thing I wanted from it was more airflow. I think they should've done more research to come up with something like the snapdragon instead taking the same old design, fattening up the post holes and air flow holes and making it 24mm; sounds a little gimmicky to me; like they updated it for the sake of updating it (or following the new trends instead of carrying on with the ones they started). They essentially took one of the most classic flavor chasing atomizers and turned it into a cloud chasing atomizer; is flavor chasing really that much of a niche in vaping??

Also, why 24mm??? I don't get this new trend...

But, I can honestly say that for once, I am very content with my rda collection. My nectar has been in the mail for well over two weeks now (currently on the horn with both USPS and the vapor club to get this ironed out) and I don't even care that much. It will be cool to have and play around with but at this point, I feel like I have all I need.

With that said, I really can't wait to see what comes out next year.... maybe an origen v4 or a marquis v2? And for the love of my bank account Eden Mods, please do not come out with another snapdragon for at least another year.

P.S., the Vapor Shark DNA200 is amazing! So small and light it's incredible!! The battery life could be better but it is what it is. Still love my RX200s and will continue to use them as my daily carry but when I get home, whatever is on my RX200 comes off and goes on the VSDNA200.

I have to agree with pretty much everything said here. Not to beat up on it, since people like it and now own it. But the magma looks like the.....magma. Really doesn't look all that different imo. And it's crazy cause they really were one of the first to do a lot of things, 2 post, super deep juice well, and a domed inside. Why steer from that? And make basically an updated version 1? I hate that. Build on what you have and what you've made a staple in the vape community, don't sell out. And I'm also not feeling this whole 24mm trend myself, I don't see the point but that's just me. Sucks if you don't have a big regulated mod or a 24mm/25mm mech and want that specific rda, your pretty much out of luck unless you don't care about looks or shelling out more money to make everything look nice and flush.

You definitely get it, though you may not agree with it. Personally, I do not favor reduced chambered atomizers with tight draws. I prefer larger decks which support larger coils, expansive chambers which aggregate vapor, massive airflow and widebore chuffs. 24mm atomizers generally satisfy all of the above. For me, it is all about vapor production. And if I really want more flavor in a juice, I adjust the flavoring percentage in my recipes.

I get both sides. I am a person that originally loved the Magma, but now have moved on to liking much more airflow---but I still like the idea of the Magma. This is really just like a Magma XL more than a Magma "reborn". It's also a bit funny to me that they would've included such small airflow options because if anyone was to buy this and close it off to the smallest option, it would seem to make much more sense to have the original. At least this one doesn't cost like the first one, but that also kinda says something about how much we used to (and still do) overpay. I believe this one is going to cost around ~$95 and the first was ~$120.

my opinion on the magma reborn...

-24mm is nice, most people nowadays have box mod, bigger deck to build on and deeper juice well(i did actually tried filling up the juice well and the juice that it carry suffice my vaping need for my work break)
-airflow option, id rather have an option i can use to what build im using, to how many wattage i want to throw for that build, i guess its great for an atty to "adapt" to what build you want to use or try rather than that atty dictating you the build that it can accommodate because of its airflow is "limiting" (e.g. ax1), the air flow can cater enough to low wattage device up to the recent trend of 100+ wattage devices
-magma for me is an atty that shows you dont need that tight drag or super reduced chamber to get the flavor you want

now for my cons
-i hate the included chuff cap, i think they can do a better design for it
-why haven't they just made the deck to be a velocity style deck, they could have but they stick to what the original magma has, only having two post hole
-the threaded sleeve, i dont know actually know how long it would hold up, but i believe someday it will loosen up and will have a play on it, i wish they did make it to just used o-ring instead and some other locking mechanism to put on the sleeve

overall im liking it for all the options im getting from it.. =)

One of the things I do really like with this two-post design, that differs from most others like it: the posts are the optimal distance apart to not have to fight with keeping the initial coil wrap together. Sometimes these new atties have the posts so far apart that it almost makes it a pain to use regular coils. Not here. Great spacing. Of course, it's not a Velocity-style, but it's pretty freakin' easy to install the coils without a lot of tweaking after the fact.

Anyone get a NarDA tonight? Pretty irritated that I missed out cause of some credit card issue that apparently a lot of others had as well. Not blaming Nareg for that but it's still annoying as hell.

Dang, that is INCREDIBLY frustrating especially when you were in the right place at the right time. Luckily it seems like they are ready to ramp up production, but it still sucks.

Exactly. I had everything set to auto fill and the addresses matched up and everything. Gonna try for the media blasted version when he releases them.

hahaha! My thoughts exactly. This may be a stretch, but if you weren't initially planning on buying two, you may have accidentally found yourself in the better position. I too want that media blasted one. Looks super slick!!!! Great quality from Nareg and he isn't going to let any janky machining or any kind of slip in quality control go out.

I was planning on buying one of each lol

It's all good though. I'll have other chances.

So, Mr. Mann...Any additional commentary regarding the Reborn :) ? I must know more about it...

Hmmm...well...no, not right now. It's a lot going on and I've been vaping more on-the-go than sitting down and really enjoying it.

I installed that mainly for some pics (with some LV Clapton Wire), but that is what I am going to vape next.

hahahaha! I know most don't care, don't believe me or know flat-out that the Sub Zero is not for them, even still, I LOVE that atty. I never would've thought it would work so well for me, but it really has. I got two! For my builds, it is wonderful for vapor and flavor. And that draw is so open, but it does NOT feel like empty air.

On another note....

I just went and bought a Magma Reborn. It's a long story for why I had to get another. I got it from Vape Super Center and every one we opened up had straight posts (unlike the one I was sent) and the overall machining of the deck was much nicer. I wonder if the first one I had was really from a production batch. Dunno. Don't think so after seeing the ones at the shop. Oh, and the price is not what I thought either. From VSC it's $75, but I think it just depends on where you are able to buy from. Anywho, just updating my commentary...

p.s. @TorontoOntario What is a Sub Zero Shorty???? Guess I got to look that up. Oh, I get it now...it's the mech.

Reborn....Teflon (VSC sold out) or Gunmetal?

My Gunmetal finish got messed up when I cleaned mine. It's lost its luster and looks kinda spotty now. I never had that happen before, but I knew one day it would. I clean my atties with soapy water, then I boil them with a little vinegar and water. I bought the teflon one (for pics) and that one is closer to cerakoted (I think). I like the black one better in general (I like that rugged finish).

The gunmetal finish looks good, but just don't clean it like I did mine.

So this happened today...Tugboat V3.

I had a couple gift cards and they had just came in so I figured I'd give It a go. Worst comes to worst I could always sell it since it's early, but I got a good deal so what the hell. Hopefully while staying up tonight I can get a build in here and come back with some feedback for everyone. Cheers and happy new year everyone, my extended vaping family!
