Is it me or has anyone else noticed that the 'clone' game has almost ceased? I mean, it's still there, but it is NOWHERE near what it used to be, so much so that it makes me think that a lot of the companies that were 'cloning' either went under, decided to switch markets or have revamped their outlook and just started making original designs.

Its not just you... The clone market has slowed down. I don't own one of these, nor would I, but I think the K24 clone was just release like 3 weeks ago... I would've thought that one was destined to be cloned within a few weeks. Same with the Hobo V3.1... That took a while also.

I think with cost being so low on so many new rdas that it may not be worth it to clone everything.

It's just my opinion and no offense is meant to anyone who reads this and has an M-Atty. Not everyone that does is a jerk but most of the people in that M-Atty circle jerk seem to be utter dbags. So does the modder. So, yeah, if a clone dropped tomorrow I'd buy one immediately and I wouldn't feel a twinge of guilt. Would I buy a clone of the NarDA? No, because I want to support Nareg and even though I may never get another authentic I'd just as soon only have one than buy a clone.

So what has Nereg done any different that would make you want to support him? I can't see any. He asked for suggestions from his fanbase only to ignore them and continue to screw most people out of an opportunity to own one of his atty's by having to play the F5 war... Its not exactly the same, but it is close enough IMO...

I don't know if anyone's spoken about it in this thread but it's $60 for stainless, $65 for copper or brass & I'd say that's a pretty great deal on what looks like a killer 24mm atty with a very unique deck.

I thought it was going to be big air too, till I noticed the air intake on his sidewinder topcap. It does appear to be able to be drilled big without mess up things. Opening up the air is something he'll do before shipping. But, stock might be a tight draw.

If you look at the inside of the top cap, the air hole looks much bigger than usual for a HF atty. I agree it's not big air but it looks sufficient for restricted lung hits at the least.

If you look at FT or 3FVape or Angelcig or whatever clone web site you choose and check out the recent releases you'll see there's plenty. The Hobo V3.1 did take longer than you'd expect but the K24 hasn't been out all that long. Not to mention the fact, as I posted earlier, that the Kayfun Mini V3 which was released two weeks ago (ish) already has multiple clone versions. I think the clone manufacturers know where their bread is buttered and it's not with niche, expensive attys like the M-Atty or NarDA

ETA: The funny thing, to me, is how the clone manufacturers waste time with copying attys with an authentic version that only costs $20ish. That's what they seem to be putting out these days. Some also seem to be following in EHPro's, Tobeco's and HCigar's footsteps and attempting to make their own authentics. Super shoddy authentics, mind, but authentics nonetheless.

I loathe the F5 war and, yes, I wish Nareg would've listened to those of us in the group suggesting a list (kind of like Bret does with the Pancake - everyone can sign up and WILL get one in order of sign up) but the guy has put out a hell of a dripper and at a much more reasonable price than the M-Atty. Plus, he actually continues to make batches of them and then sells them. The M-Atty guy seems to make a batch once in a blue moon then pre-allocates them to his flunkies before deigning to allow the plebs to play in an F5 war for like 10 attys. Much different situation, IMO. You obviously don't agree and that's fine. I love mine and FOR ME it's the best dripper out there.

This is interesting to me. I just wish they hadn't gone with a three post deck but I like that it is BF ready. I'm gonna have a hard time buying any dripper from now on that doesn't include a BF and non BF pin.

I feel like everything there making lately is an issue. They need to make something and knock it out of the park, there v3 was a dud and this seems a little better in perspective but doesn't interest me. I posted it for everyone else. Plus I'm not a fan of bottom air flow. Still interested to see people's thoughts if they get it in.

Doubtful as YiHi controls the price of the SX Minis and doesn't allow retailers to list it for less than $199.99. If someone does sell under that, YiHi will no longer do business with them.

Damn the battery life, that Powerful+ mode is the business! I can't wait for their 2x18650 though.

Tough to say. I will say that my SXs are some of the only mods I own that I refuse to sell. Everything else will go on the chopping block at some point. Eventually I will buy another mod that I will feel the same about, but it hasn't happened yet.

But check the classies: I snagged a brand new ML Class for barely over $100! I still can't get over it. The classies just ain't what they used to be. It's a buyer's market!

IMO the SX Minis are worth the asking price. Like Mr Mann said, I would never sell or trade my two and I'm definitely going to buy the Q Class when its released. They are built well, the chip is accurate and has a lot of options and they fit amazingly in the hand. Plus, I personally love the screw cap battery tube because it doesn't lead to chewed up battery wrappers like a lot of mods.

There's a thread about it in the Temperature Control section in the APV forum. From what I remember it uses two 18650s, 200W, TC with Ni, Ti and SS as well as manual TCR.

My Pico clone came today. After a wash and rinse I threw a single 24ga kanthal 3mm coil in and wicked it with rayon. I don't remember the last time I ran below 50w on a device and got a satisfying vape. She's wicked tiny and holds very little juice, but it's a great "out to the store real quick" setup on the VTC Mini.

Does anyone know where I can get a bottom feed pin for my hobo 3.1? I looked on Hoberto's website and there's absolutely nothing on it except the ultem hobo-x which is sold out. I've never seen it like that before.

The NarDA BF pin, which is in stock, should work. I know the Hobo pin works in the NarDA - I suspect they are one and the same. Catfish used Hobo pins for most of his NarDAs.

You could also try the clone Hobo BF pin. Angelcigs has clone Hobos with BF pins included for like $9, IIRC. Use the pin, toss the rest, lol.
