That would depend on what atty you have on top of said BF device... If you put an atty on it that the feed/drain is flush with the deck, (ie.. O-16, Nuppin', & Stumpy), and are aware of when to and when not to squonk, you will not have the problem of vaping reclaimed liquid in the bottle.

Exactly, a good squonk atty is the key. I'm not a real fanatic on drain back since cotton will absorb the juice anyway but as long as you pay attention you'll have fresh juice all the time. It beats dripping for sure.

Speaking of dripping, I built the NoPity with a pair of SS Clapton's & it's pretty nice. I may need the cloud cap because it's just a little tight with all the holes exposed on the largest setting. I can see that I'd never take it out with me until it's bottom fed because some juice has been finding it's way out of the bottom air holes if I'm careless when I drip. For relaxing on the couch & dripping it's a dream. Also, I think any bottom air atty with this design will leak if juice gets in the air intakes so I'm not faulting the NoPity for that.

The reason I went from RTA's to RDA's was because it seemed the liquid in the tank was getting cooked due to the low builds I had in them and by the time I had gone through a half tank, my liquid had turned from almost translucent to a dark yellow from all the heat that was generated in the RTA. The same went for dripping as well, coupled with I was the clumsiest dripper in the world and was to the point of having to carry paper towels or something to clean up all the over drips and spills from the device not being held upright at all times. Excess liquid got cooked fast and flavor dropped off quickly before having to drip again.

When I finally purchased my first Reo I finally understood what I was being told by so many... I finally could drip without the hassle of having constant leaking, (whether my fault or not), liquid not being held in the RDA and cooking, and could enjoy my vape finally... This too had its challenges though as I found when using cotton, the liquid from oversquonking would just pool in the RDA and cook while waiting to be absorbed into the cotton after a couple hits, not to mention flavor diminished dramatically. This is what led me to really paying attention to my squonking. Trying my best to not oversquonk at all. It was hopeless as long as I used cotton. I then found RxW and it seemed all my problems were gone with over cooking my liquid due to oversquonking or too much liquid in the cotton. The RxW seems to hold what I need for 3-4 hits and the remainder drains back into the bottle, uncooked, of course... I haven't had any problems at all with discolored liquid in the bottle since. It has other advantages as well, but that is for another thread at another time...

THAT'S a pretty sexy mod! Is that a squonker?! (oh no, I feel a buying impulse coming on...)

Ha nope, not a squonker. This one is easy to get & cheap (compared to a squonker) It's the Panzer DNA200 from Think Vape.

Looks like a Panzer DNA200.

Your are correct, it's a nice mod, I've been enjoying it.

I have one, but haven't built a coil on it yet. I don't remember anyone hating it, and I don't remember anyone ranting how great it is either....which is why its still sitting in the container it shipped in.
Surely you aren't talking about the famed 3.1 :)

Checking in to see if anyone has seen a Hobo 3.1

I really don't want to buy a clone :-/

EDIT: And while I'm asking, what about a NoPity? Vapinart is out of stock already!

::grrrrr::

Well I'm going to say this & I shouldn't because well because....but...while I've only used the NoPity for a few hours today I like the Hobo 3.1 more. I'm glad I have both & hoping it's just some sour grapes from me & the NoPity not starting out on the right foot but the Hobo just works perfectly for my vape style. Easy to build, tons of flavor, perfect air & just flat out gorgeous. It didn't look at all impressive in pics but it's stunning on the Infinity. Sure the barrel is a pita to get off but I squonk so I don't need to remove it. Plus I did remove the bottom larger o-ring which makes it significantly easier to remove but even with the o-ring removed it doesn't leak. I've over squonked & it doesn't leak, it just works for me. I still can't figure out why he stopped making it & went with a split four post design on the Drifter which is so last year IMO. I am getting an amazing vape on my second build, I feel like it would work with any build I try. It's flavorful, thick, rich & juicy, I love a moist vape but without spit back. Speaking of, I have zero spit back with a twisted build right under the drip tip & the top cap doesn't get hot! Impressive in every way.

The NoPity on the other hand is gorgeous, the machining is excellent & it looks impressive in every way. I struggled today with Clapton builds, my first dual coil Clapton's leaked like a sieve right out of the air holes no matter how I dripped so I ripped that out. Then I did a single Clapton coil & didn't like the way it was laying in the deck so then I ripped that out. Replaced it with another dual coil Clapton build but this time went smaller inner diameter hoping I could leave some room in between the coils to drip down & it's working. It's a good vape but a little restricted. The flavor & density is there but it doesn't taste moist, kind of dry like a tank taste not a fresh juicy wick on coils taste that I prefer. I'm traveling today & tomorrow so I decided not to bring it since I can't drip while I drive so I won't be able to get back to it until Friday. I think a lot of this will go away with a bottom feed pin so I don't have to deal with a messy cap & leaking out of the bottom air holes. Again, it's way too soon to tell & I hope that I eat my words once I have some time with it but it's just my opinion after a couple of hours with it vs a couple of days with the Hobo. My gut tells me I'd buy another Hobo if I found one, I've even considered a clone actually. I'm not so sure at this point if I'd buy another NoPity but I'm certainly not throwing it away either.

All over the place
@fishwater

Obviously we (typically) only build the way we want to, but I do recommend trying it out with some old school, smaller ID coils over the modern exotic kind. To me, this atty is made for and shines with regular coils (at least with the standard cap).

I know this isn't a wick thread but wanted to mention it since wicking goes hand in hand with RDA's. I received a sample of native wicks premium blend (unreleased) and I've got to say this is hands down the best wick I have ever used. It trumps rayon and ken do vape cotton (my previous favorite). You can vape this bone dry and have no burnt taste (130+w), it doesn't burn in the center and even when using dark/sugary juices the caramelized juice doesn't stain/stay in the wick. I've been using it in my goon since I got it, over 90mls of juice at 110+w and it was still just as white as the day I wicked it. I'm vaping some Smoked Custard (apple cherry wood, ~20ml) in the Subzero 24 and my wicks have no staining what so ever. On top of all that the wick is just as, if not more absorbent than kendo and rayon. Wicking with this is as easy as using cotton bacon and there's zero hint of cotton taste, absolutely no break in period, the same as Kendo, and the flavor is really clean through out the duration of the wick. I believe it's supposed to be released April 1st. I usually don't gush over something so simple as wick but it's so good I took out the wick from all my other RDA's and replaced them with premium blend. Highly recommend for anyone looking for the next step up in wicking material.

EDIT: Also want to mention, when fresh, it absorbs juice right off the bat it doesn't sit on the top and take time to fully absorb in like some other materials.

Absolutely, I only did a rowdy build because I saw that huge juice well & top cap. Figured since I was putting it on a DNA 200 I might as well. Normally I'd do a simple standard build to get a feel for it first. I already planned on ripping the Clapton's out & doing a nice spaced build like the one you posted a few pages back.

Epik Vape has the Hobo 3.1... for $99.99.

With Vapinart out of stock on the NoPity, you'll have to go international if you can't wait for a re-stock.
