Have you tried the Kayfun Mini? It can be used in either drip or tank mode unlike the larger Kayfun 3.1, performs equally well in either configuration, and the taste in tank mode is
almost as good as in drip mode. I personally haven't found a single non-drip setup that I think tastes as good as a good drip setup. I love drippers and use my minis in drip mode most of the time, but I really like that I can screw the other pieces in to make tanks of varying lengths when I need to go that route for convenience. Best of both worlds in one place, which is what made it worth the price to me.
