I have a istick60tc. The highest I have EVER gone was 40 watts when testing the Billow V2. Before that was 32 watts testing the GMini.

Most of my vaping is done at 17.5 watts and below.

I'm NOT a cloud chaser. I want a satisfying flavorful vspe.

I was at a meeting with Mike (don't know his last name) we were bothb blowing clouds. As we wrapped up we compared wattages. He had his Coolfire4 pegged at 40 watts and I was tootling along at 12.5.

Going big wattage helps clouds but there are other factors

1. Knowing how to build coils.
2. Resistance
3. High VG juices. This is the most important factor
Yea ,I don't really go for clouds myself..I'm using the IPVIIs 60watt..
I was just impressed with the plume veil when i was just going for taste..the improvement it had on the vapor production..Just the design with the options of airflow..

The juice I'm vaping just taste better at 25 to 30 watts than it does in the teens..
I can't really do PG without it choking me down at just about any wattage..so it's all vg nic and flavor..
I set all my coils up for taste..
If i was to set this RDA up for clouds, it would probably fog out the room..But I was coming pretty close without even going for clouds..
Just Impressed with the Plume Veil is all..

I know how to build coils and know my laws and all i vape is vg juices..
If you ask me,it's more of a challenge to getting taste right than it is to get clouds.

Agree completely. Build to sweet spot resistance.

Then fiddle with wattage for best flavor of the juice. You are probably firing dual coils. I'm fiting a single so it ramps up faster.

I too have used the Plumeveil. In my opinion it was good but the Freakshow Mini, Rogue, Darang blows the doors off the Plume Veil. So do three RTAs Orchid V3, Goblin Mini, and Silverplay Nano.

Only the Darang beats the three RTAs.

Hey man, I would just stick with the Crown tank for now if you're not sure what to do just yet. In the meantime you can check out the rebuild section of the forum and look at the sub forums there. The Coil Builds sub forum has a nice picture thread, most of which are complex build, but you do not need to do that.

I would stay with a regulated device like you have now and look at the RDA thread for a purchase decision. You can get really nice vapor production from certain RDAs. I mostly use RTAs, but my favorite RDA right now is the Phenotype-L with simple 24 gauge dual coils with spacing in between the wraps. I don't use it all the time, but it certainly puts out a lot of vapor for that quick nicotine.

just my 2 cents - High wattage ( for quicker vapor ), low gauge wire ( heats up faster ), more surface area on coils ( more vapor production ), dual coils ( more vapor of course, big air flow ( less restriction ), HIGH if not MAX VG ( this is must for cloud chasing ), good wicking ( without good wicking can't expect much cloud production with the rest of the above ).

RDA wise not really sure of what RDA gives out the BEST cloud production nor could I recommend you one as am not a cloud chaser

Personally, I keep things simple. (Keep It Simple, Stupid)

Simple dual coils (open or closed, doesn't really matter).

I've tried so-called enthusiasts' coil who build all the exotic coils, and tried their vape. IMHO, they are no better than my simple coils.

If you enjoy tinkering around with fancy builds, go for it. I don't, I just want to vape.

Couldn't agree more , now if fancier builds really did make a noticeable flavor difference i would be using them but thats just not the case .

A well wrapped and wicked single or double coil has always performed just as well as the fancier stuff for me .

Very well done. Much more tactful than I was.

Never used phenotype l but have seen some reviews. The last RDA I tested was the Darang.

He would do himself many favors by learning two things.

Rebuilding

Battery safety.

No disagreement here at all. Plain old coil in the .8-1 ohm of 26 gauge, and can blow decent clouds at less than 20 watts.

I always vape coils in the 1.2 - 2.4 ohm range , tried lower in the past but prefer this range.

For RDA's i prefer from around 1 ohm - 1.5 ohm , don't laugh , amazing flavor imo.
