After sleeping on this issue I have decided to delete my post. I don't like seeing people being treated poorly and tend to defend them. I don't know the whole story here so I should have just minded my own business.

I, like many many others, am upset by the way people bullied SteelJan so badly that she has left the community. When I noticed that ericdjobs also left after this incident I probably overreacted. I am a nurse. It's my nature and I'm on auto-pilot to protect the hurt, the sick and the injured.

As I said in my original post, I was not intending to bash any of the vendors. I was replying to the way people responded to his original post.

Well I had just placed my first order with Alt Smoke then ran across this thread. After reading the way the vendor, vendors manufacturer, supplies and fanboys responded to the original post it will be my last order.

The guy was bringing very important information to the forum members. He even said he was going to contact AS when he was done doing the video but felt it most important to get the info out first. I did not find in any way that he was being inflammatory to AS or COV. The way people shot him down and attacked him was disgusting behavior. They behaved horribly yet blamed him for it! Unbelievably he apologized several times and they continued to attack him! Even if the information he was passing on was incorrect and he was being rude, all you had to do was calmly pass your information to him so he would learn.

I also noticed no one bothered to answer his question about how a battery manufacturer could get away with shrink wrapping together two different batteries (a blue B&K 800mah and a green unknown mfg. 750mah) and sell them as a matched pair of Trustfire 14500's. The only response he got to that very important question was "They are not fake, they are indeed trustfire batteries, at least the shrink wrap is." The shrinkwrap is!!! That's your answer??? Apparently we shouldn't be concerned with what is actually underneath the shrikwrap!

Another great response he got was that it wasn't the vendors fault. No it is not BUT us common folk have to rely on and trust the vendors to do the technical work and check the products they sell for quality and safety. Yes, I know you are thinking I'm just a noob and don't know what I'm talking about well.....you are correct. But I do know that if we don't want e-cigs banned than we can't continue to have reports of batteries starting on fire, blowing up, etc. Generally it has been user error but if we don't even know what we are buying than it doesn't matter if we use it correctly or not.

Now I am not bashing AS or COV so back off!!! I am bashing the way people responded to this guy's legitimate concern. To quote one persons response, "Nothing is gained from flexing your temper on a forum. In fact, it just does a massive disservice to you in the future." Go back and read the entire thread and I think you will see it was completely the opposite - the way people responded to him was the massive disservice. The forum is here for us to learn, educate, inform, discuss all topics. It is not here to verbally abuse people for expressing themselves or bringing up a legitimate concern. And it is not here to support a product or a vendor just because you personally like them or are gaining something from them.

Just curious - Did you hang SteelJan next to ericdjobs?

If you notice, the OP edited his post. That thread was almost a year old, that is why it was closed. If I remember correctly the OP was giving an ultimatum. He had recieved a full refund. It is common for "fan boys" to defend thier favorite supplier, it happens all the time. Sorry to hear you will not be returning to AS to make future orders. Who is SteelJan?

SteelJan is a reviewer that has withdrawn her videos due to cyber bullying.

This is a Trustfire issue, not AS or COV anyway. If the vendors returned the money, they did what they should have done.

Send a letter to TF, and let everyone know this issue. That's how we can hold vendors accountable if they continue to do business without informing people.
