Utilizing an
rda w/ 3 poles. When building a dual coil, is it considered a serial or parallel dual coil?
TIA!
You build two coils in parallel; each coil gets the same voltage from the power source.
You need to get the two coils the same ohms otherwise one coil will get hotter than the other.
The 3 pole RDA has 1 common center pole; one leg of each coil connects to this pole.
For convenience, the two outer poles are provided so that you can connect the second leg of each coil independently - you can also there adjust the length of the coil leg - tweaking it a little in order to match the ohms of the other coil.
If you check with a multimeter or just look at the metal of the deck, the two outer poles are electrically the same- the are connected via the deck itself.
