Re-wicking time

If not changing flavors, how often do you re-wick your rba?

I use an RDA, but it really depends on how dark my juice is. I have this super dark mint-chocolate juice that I've been using, absolutely murders my coils and cotton within a day and a half of use. On the other hand, if I'm using something light and fruity I don't have to do much for a week.

Every 3-4 days for the current darker juices I'm using.

It's more about when to dry burn and refresh the coil...that's when I re-wick. On my Kayfun that's about every 5 days or approx 20-25 mil. I use unflavored juice so my coils probably last longer than most.

Once a week for a rewick. Once a month if i have to recoil it too. Coil life depends more on fat thick gauge material. It's hard to rewick 32g at all. Might as well start from scratch.

Thank you all for your feed back. I have been re-wicking once a week, but have noticed a change in flavor in 3-5 days. I will try r-wicking more often.

Yeah, definitely rewick every 3-4 days at least if you're using cotton.

Using cotton wicks, I usually change wicks about every 2nd to 3rd tank myself.

I'm about to start rebuilding my first RBA for the first time (Kayfun Lite+ clone), and was thinking of going with Rayon instead of cotton. Should my re-wicking intervals be the same?

I usually don't feed the cotton through the coils on my RDA, I just place it under the coil. I change it out every two days or so. On my Kayfuns I usually rewick it once a week.

I recoil once a month, as a general rule.

More often if I'm bored, I like to tinker around with them

Three to five days back when I used cotton. With rayon I only rewick when the coils crud over and need dry burned, it will still be pretty much white at that point, if there were a good way to pull it back through I could honestly use it again after the dry burn, but I just put a new one on.

Once a week I change out my RDA's wicks (w/ a dry fire once the cotton is out). Once every 2 weeks, I rebuild my coils.
