Taifun gt

I have had my taifun gt for about 2 months now and love it! I pretty much know it inside and out. I am still using the original coil I built in it the first day. I am starting to notice burnt hits more often. I re wick it every time I change juice and clean the coil every few days. Could the old coil be causing burnt hits more often or could it just be a wicking problem?

I love my taifun! I'd check your wicking style because she can be picky when it comes to wicking her. I've had great success using cotton but I sort of double the cotton in the notches then cap it and trim the cotton to fit
Haven't had any problems with this wicking style. Give it a try and see if it helps. Best wishes

I actually have the taifun GT from angelcigs and found the side slits are more narrow then other versions. I took a Dremel to the slits to make them slightly wider and used rayon and it's wicking like a champ now chain vape with no dry hits at all.

My favorite build on the Taifun GT is a vertical coil centered over the airhole. After you heat and compress your coil, put the bit back in the coil and drop the bit right in the air hole. That will center and hold the coil in place while you install the legs. Then wick on the outside of the coil, one wick on each side of the coil. Really works for me.

interesting so a chimney build inside of the taifun works good I'll have to try it

I would like to give this a try. The must give one long and one short leg if I understand this correctly. Do you have a picture that you could send?

when you pulsed your coil to dry burn, where the wraps all heating up evenly? sometimes the act of re-wicking can deform the coil wraps and re squeezing and pulsing is in order. I've gone up to 3 months on the same coil before rebuilding before. Usually because trying something new, not because it's needed. lmao.
