Hey LordDavon, what prevents the atty from getting flooded every time you take a hit? I always thought they made carto tanks (and not atty tanks) becuase there was pollyfill to prevent flooding. But this seems like just a regular de-bridged, slotted atty in a tank. With all that empty space above the coil, how does this thing not flood? Why not just take a cheap carto tank and put this atty in it if there is no flooding? What am I missing?

I think it is because there is a decent wick in the coil, and the atty doesn't get a huge amount of juice. The hole allows just enough to keep it saturated, and the wick holds the rest in place. It's why most attys allow you do drip about 6-10 drops without leaking.

So, could you do this with other tanks... probably. The way the top is made, and the use of the KR808 tip, could be duplicated with other tanks. But, this is an out-of-the-box decent setup, and you know it will work. Experimenting with your own attys, could have you going through many, and costing more.
