Years ago I watched a YouTube by someone in the UK
warning the U.S. about what was going on in Europe
regarding Political Correctness and Social Cohesiveness.

He said ... It's all coming to America and warned us not
to let all that garbage infest the land of the free and home of the brave.
He said the world looks to America and our Constitution to be different and lead.

At the time I listened to that YouTube ...
I said to myself ... It's never going to take hold in America.
That Brit was right ... and I was wrong.

I don't think it's political correctness that's driving this urge to censor the internet. I suspect it was all the publicity that the use of social media in the Arab Spring that brought attention to the internet. Never forget Governments fear their own people first and foremost and it's them they need to control more than anything else. Sorry did I say control? I of course meant regulate things for everyone's benefit!

Nicotine will forever be guilty by association.
You can preach the truth till your blue in the face ...
Makes little to no difference.

The comparison with tomatoes for the most part falls on deaf ears.
The comparisons with caffeine ... equally, for the most part ... falls on deaf ears.

If what you are vaping emits a smoke-like vapor
it is a visual reminder to everyone of smoking and nicotine.

The reason we will win ... won't be that we have proven nicotine in PV vapor
is harmless to the the public ... We will win simply because in time esmoking
will be mainstreamed. The easily offended will continue to hold their handkerchiefs
over their nose and mouth ... and do their "fake cough" routines.
:p

Yeah, I know that is an over-simplified way of looking at the big picture.
Kind of a "reverse rant" if that makes any sense.

There is a lot of truth to this. As an exterminator, I service some public places. I use an insecticide that has ZERO odor. We do let people know when we walk in, that we are doing a preventative service, and the insecticide is absolutely odor free. We like to give folks an opportunity to leave the area, to be considerate. You would be surprised how many people START COVERING their faces and coughing before we even start spraying. Its unbelievable!

If you are keeping up with their politics, you'll know that the latest thing is to have every new car come with a monitor of your speed. With GPS tracking they will know the speed limit of a given area and limit your car's speed to that. Sort of like a modern governor for your car. I just can't wait for that one to come to us, not.

You can't control thought unless you control the Internet.

Buckle-Up folks ...
Government censorship of the Internet is coming
and will be sold by the government to protect us !!

What's the answer ?
Baring revolution ... I haven't got a clue

Na... They absolutely love things like twitter and facebook. "PUBLIC" domain and logged for eternity so that off handed comment you make 42 years ago can come back and bite you in the ... and they can toss ya in jail. Why would they want to censor that sort of power? I would rather believe they would want to allow it to grow and blossom --- so the spy center in utah can back it up forever.

That pic you posted of your e-cig on your facebook feed proves your a criminal once they control/ban them.

I guess it's a good thing I started giving my supplies to the poor. I was so afraid they'd lose out with the FDA ban finger on the trigger.

The answer is (and this pertains to every voting american on every subject, not just vaping):
1) Stop voting for people on the basis of their campaign or what they say. Shocker, they lie. Look at their record instead. If they have no record then they shouldnt be a high ranking official.
2) Make noise, lots of noise. See how quickly the recent firearms restrictions laws died? Whether you are for or against it is not relevant, noise made a difference.
3) Oppose any government restriction period. Whether you agree the topic or not. We have enough laws, enough taxes, enough government programs. If they do something it costs us money. When was the last time a laws made your life better? Laws can't, they only restrict, by definition.

This came out a couple of months ago out of the UK but it applies just as much here, if not more. Warning: one bad word is used (in writing). But when I think of the current administration, the FDA and the liberal politicians tripping over themselves to call for bans/ severe restrictions on vaping , I can't help but think of this YouTube video. I can see them all behind closed doors just like this, lol. To any mod, if I broke a rule, let me know and I will delete this post although it was already posted here a few months ago:
