Ready to make the jump in "MODS". Is it worth it? What do you recommend?

One point about the batteries I have about 20 18650 batteries laying around and I still use the first pair I bought. My first pair were AW IMR 18650's and I got them because people on here said they were the best and they were right. I've purchased Sony, Ultrafire, Orbtronic and a few others I got free with other stuff and it's not even a contest. The Orbtronics are second best but they are supposedly Panasonics so that would make sense. If you have problems with your batts holding the same charge in a few months just keep it in mind, you may have gotten good ones right off the bat.

Edit: I'm also assuming the VAMO takes IMR's which I don't actually know.

Omnipanzer, the Vamo does take IMRs, and it's not fussy as to whether they're flat-tops or button-tops. The Vamo does not like any kind of protected 18650. It seems the protection circuits in the battery and the protection circuits in the Vamo don't play nicely together.

I have had my Vamo for a week now and absolutely love it. I'm still trying to get the hang of VW vs. VV, and how to adjust for dual coil vs. single coil, but all in all, it's a great mod, and at a great price.

I also picked up the GLV2 5V from Great Lakes Vapor . It's an incredible mod made here in Michigan. It's made from machined aircraft grade aluminum, and it comes with a lifetime warranty. It's pricey, but between it and the Vamo, I'm set up for a looooooong time!

Good luck with your Vamo!
