Hi All,

I quit vaping about 2 years ago when my old job stopped allowing vaping at the office and I had one of my tanks leak all over the place. Since then I started smoking again and if my wife finds out she'll kill me so looking to get back to vaping.

I think I've picked out the iStick Pico kit that comes with the Melo III Mini tank but want to get a 2nd tank and wanted to get some thoughts on if I should just get another Melo III or something else?

I would like to stick with a tank that will use the same type of coils, (I know Triton/Atlantis compatible not sure if there are more), puts out a cool vape and has the best flavor.

Thoughts?

What is your vaping style? Direct inhale or mouth to lung?

Pico's are limited to 22mm tank base diameters. Not a huge restriction because many popular tanks don't exceed that.

If you are mouth to lung and prefer a cool vape then it's really hard to go wrong is a Kayfun style tank. Single coil, easy build, and excellent flavor. The newest versions have juice flow control and air flow control so they are quite flexible. They require rebuilding though.

If you want disposable coils then the Aspire line of tanks are quite popular. I use Kanger Aerotanks when out and about. Decent performance and coil life. I get a week out of each coil but I also vape DIY juice that is very clean. Sweet juices will gunk any coil fast.

Don't need to be discrete at my work, more looking for flavor. Not sure what my style is anymore since it's been awhile but again it's all about a cool rich flavor for me

Keep in mind the Melo 3 is a sub-ohm direct inhale tank...not good for discrete use or MTL vaping. The Eleaf GS Air series are decent MTL tanks and coils should be easy/cheap to come by (can also be rebuilt).

For the price, imo nothing beats the iJust 2 tank. It's simple, well-made, holds 5ml of juice, takes all the same coils, (including my preferred Vaporesso ccells), and costs ~$13 at VapeNW. The standard Melo 3 tank is now available as well, and although it holds a little less juice, (4ml), it has the same adjustable airflow and top fill design as the Mini, (and obviously uses all the same coils). It's only ~$17 at VapeNW.

Couldn't I use this coil in the Melo 3?
$9.41 Authentic Eleaf Replacement EC TC-Ti Coil Head (5-Pack) 5-pack - 0.5ohm / 60W max. / 100% pure cotton wick at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

If you do decide on the Melo I'd advise get the Melo 2 not the 3 as it comes with a couple different TC coils as well as 1 regular wattage mode coil. The Pico does TC so in my world it makes sense to give it a try if for no other reason than "because you can", you may just like it. Cheers.
