The iStick Pico is my first subohm battery and it came with an Melo III mini tank; I am not too crazy about this tank and want to replace it. I have some issues with the design (think it sucks) and want to upgrade.

The iStick people say you should stick with their brand of tank. Is that the best advice or should I also look at tanks by other makers?

I make my own juice from concentrates by some of the big flavor makers and only use VG. Does that makes any difference in the type of tank I want, or coils I want to buy for it?

i think the istick pico can only work with 22mm tanks because of the battery cap. i got a serpent mini on mine, nice short tank for a small mod. high vg juices should work with most subohm coils now, the only time i ran into dry hits with high vg juices where on the old nautilus coils and kanger protanks. But if your planning to use a higher pg then im assuming most coil heads will work.

I've used a 22mm Serpent mini RTA, a 22mm Eleaf Oppo RTA and a 23mm Magma RDA on a Pico. The Magma just does fit with its air control ring very lightly kissing the Pico's battery cap. Always on the lookout for a better RTA, I'm getting the 23mm OBS Engine mini but don't know if it will fit on the Pico.

The Serpent mini holds just shy of 3ml and produces great flavor for a single coil RTA. At just 44mm tall the Serpent mini perfectly compliments the Pico's compact size, a very stealthy pocketable setup. My only grievance is the unusual coil binding posts, could have been done better IMHO.

The Eleaf Oppo RTA hold 2ml of juice and produces great flavor. At just 49mm tall it pairs up with the tiny Pico quite well. Airflow is outstanding and with its dual coil velocity style build deck the Oppo is currently my favorite RTA for the Pico when out and about.

The old school (V1) Magma RDA is my all-time favorite atty, produces -outstanding- flavor and suits my vaping style perfectly. It's extra deep well holds enough juice to last (me) 30 - 45 minutes before needing to drip again. With a custom drip tip my Magma sits 45mm tall and looks great on top of the tiny Pico. One thing I don't like is its single hole binding posts, installing dual coils is a bit more challenging than when working with a velocity style deck. I use a Magma on my Pico(s) 99% of the time.
