Have any of you communicated with Robert? I've got a deal I was considering proposing to him. I am a wood turner and have dozens of large blocks of exotic wood with incredible grain patterns. I would like to send him a few of these blocks (enough to make probably 2 dozen mods) free of charge if he would make one for me out of the block I pick out. I'm willing to pay in full for the mod of course and he could keep the rest of the wood. Seems like a win\win to me. What do you guys think? Possible?

Decided to post this idea as a new thread.

Is that copper vein? That's what I ordered. Looks nice! Brass Reomizer? Crap! I ordered the stainless.

Yes, copper vein :) Don't fear ... my RM2 was silver when I got it. First I sanded off the top rings to brass and then the whole thing a couple weeks later. Super easy ... I used a drill with a 510 adapter in the chuck to spin it while hitting it with some sandpaper and then some steel wool.

A kick works great! But really ... it's not needed. Nice to mess with higher ohm coils though I find my coils typically end up with a sweet spot of .7-1ohm.

How did you get the kick to work? If I may ask. I love my vv grand, and just bought a copper vein mech grand and would love to kick it.

I just used a piece of copper out of an old track light strip to give a contact for the kick so it didn't need scraping off the paint etc... Here's a post I did with a few more pics: kick-2-reo-grand-clean-garage.html
