Real or clone? And why?

Do a lot of these creators go after the guys stealing their intellectual property, or the ones selling them in their vape shops and sites?
I know V3tronix does.
Do a lot of them go after them or do they just figure that's part of the business?

I heard if they are sold as replicas sometimes there is nothing that can be done. Its a fine line between what is considered a replica and what is counterfeit

I was asking about the ones actually stealing..
Just curious if anyone knew if it's was common that a lot of them write it off as a loss or if they go after them..

that i don't know. I know my local vape shop just got in panzer clones that they sell. idk if they could get in trouble for it or what the manufacture would do.

For me i just cant see spending $200 on a flashlight tube with a 510 connection. I could get anything i want but i guess im just a cheep .... And between juice and devices within the last month and 2 weeks i have spent well over $500 on just vape gear, if i was to be buying real mods i would be 2k deep easy. Maby in another month i will buy into the dna craze but for now wile i learn i will stick with the clones.

I've spent well over $1k USD on authentic mods & atomizers, mostly to support the companies that created them and the fact that the craftsmanship & materials used are far superior (and in some cases, safer). My buddy on the flip side has nothing but clones and he's had issues with every piece he's got. My only complaints are when either of my Tobh Attys or Kayfun Lite Plus' occasionally leak juice.

I agree with you. I buy both and have had more problems with clones, but on the plus side, I get to fiddle and interchange parts and dremel and drill when necessary without worry. I learn more with a clone, but when I just want to vape without hassles, I pull out the authentic. I get the best of both worlds. The one thing I hate more than anything with any vape product is when it doesn't work and I lose a lot of juice. Buying something that refuses to work properly can end up costing me money. I read the boards and look for the recommendations from those with experience for the well built clones. I hate buying a clone that is so poorly made that it ends up costing in the long run. I do agree that we need to support the inventors when we can afford it. Vaping has not been cheap for me, but that is because I read too much and always want to try something new. I think I am starting to get over that and just enjoy the products I have....finally.

and it they ship from a USA warehouse,,not from China !! : Angelcigs USA Warehouse

It seems as though angel cigs is fastech under a pseudo name with a warehouse in the U.S. I think it's a smart move on their part if this is the case.

I have no problem with anyone who buys clones, I just personally can't do it myself. There's something about having the authentic version that I love. And plus the fact that I know it will be as advertised and of good quality.

Clones are great if you are on a budget, but once you buy an authentic whatever... you'll never touch the clones again. They all work the same, some of them are even better than the authentic's. I can tell you from experience an decent Kayfun clone works and taste just like the original, but the build quality is drastically different. There is something really nice about building up on an authentic Kayfun 3.1 that just makes the process very enjoyable. As for Mods... I love my Kings, they are far superior to most of what I have, even the other authentic. Has anyone ever had there locking ring jam? The Kings don't have that problem... Its the small things that matter to me.

Here's something interesting to think about the next time you talk about hurting the originators of a product. I recently stumbled on this after watching VapingwithTwisted420 YouTube review on the Panzer

Panzer clone from China:

The "Authentic" Panzer:

And what have we here?

Wow, so the Panzer is based off a Sunwayman flashlight, who would have though? LOL

I also stumbled on this:

Its pretty interesting to check out the flashlight collector forums, lots of interesting ideas.

I own some of both.

I bought a few clones off the bat to test the waters, I wasn't sure about the whole mech/rebuildable thing.

Now I will buy both, depending on price and availability. If there's an interesting new design that I want to check out (more so with RBA's than with mechs) I consider the $12-$25 I spend on a clone more reasonable than shelling out $120 on a dripper that I don't like.

Here and there I find a clone that I like so much I go ahead and buy the original.

It's your credit card, use it where and how you wish.

Other than my variable voltage mods, I have only clone mods but do have an original dripper. I don't have a problem with clones and in some cases some clones are superior to the originals. case in point the Winsmoke Squape. Original : anodized deck and chimney, pmma inner tank, only 1 airhole open and small one at that. winsmoke version: slightly different anodized coating but just as good. Pyrex tank and both airholes open and bored out larger. this one has no logo or other markings.

Are their inferior clones made? of course, but their is also quality clones made as well they cost more than fasttech ones. I have an hcigar nemesis clone, and an Hcigar brass Stingray got them both from a reputable site that does their own qc. I also have a friend who has an original nemesis, we have random swapped parts back and forth, just to see if we can tell the difference, all parts are compatible with each other and threading is the same.In fact, we realized very quickly, we had to mark the inside of the tubes etc so we could tell them apart. I am also pleased with my Maraxus clone by ehpro, of which you can no longer buy the original. Well made zero issues with it.

I don't buy all clones are crap message, that just sounds as a massive overstatement brought on by rationalization by someone trying to justify their choice of buying an original.

All of this is subjective. each to his own. personally I like clones not because i cant afford an original, but because if i bought an original i would have less mods. I do own an original Patriot and will soon own an original Tobh, but again my choice, i don't disparage buying originals or clones.
