OK... I like and trust the guy recommending the emax. I have thought well of him for a long time. I have been around here for a fair while. This is the first I have seen of the emax but if it were me that's what I would go with. It has features that the evod does not. Good luck to you no matter what you choose. Even a cig alike will work for a lot of us. It's just not cost effective in the long run. You may as well go and check out the Provari while you are looking too. It will likely be what you end up with in the end. Most of us seem to. I wouldn't buy a provari 1st off till you learn some more about e cigs and what you do and don't like. The emax kit looks like it can really get you off to a good start though. I don't know if you like to tinker or not but the heads for the evod or emax can be rebuilt at home to save money or you can just get new ones as you need them. These suggested threads look like they will be good for you to check out.

The difference between the evods and the vision spinners is that the spinner batteries are Variable voltage. They have a little dial on the bottom that allows you to turn the power up or down to get more or less warmth, vaper and throat hit. I am thinking Variable voltage may be really good for you. You described liking the feeling when you inhale. We vapers call that throat hit. Being able to turn up your volts to 4.8 on a spinner will give you better TH then the 3.7 volts you will get from the evod or emax. The variable voltage is also a good thing because different flavor liquids really shine at different volt settings. Also you may want to order a bottle of 24 mg liquid to keep on hand for those tuff times. I smoked over 2 packs a day of Marlboro light 100s and I had to start out with 24 mg or I never would have made it. 18 mg will probably be fine but if you are having nic fits on 18 you will want to have some 24 on hand.

Hi Dana I don't see anyone posting anything about an emax?

Damn that Provari is expensive! :) As I noted in my update I'm now leaning towards an Innokin MVP 2.0 It has a lot of the features I see listed for the Provari but it's like 25% of the price. It is bigger (a big box) tho but that doesn't bother me. I also like the 2600mah battery, even tho its built in, many people have said it lasts for days and I like the idea of not having to worry about charging on the go or carrying around extra batteries.

Thanks for your post

***UPDATE***

Thanks everyone for all your replies and advice. Seems like this is a great community here. Due to one post regarding the age of the technology and battery life, I am currently leaning towards an Innokin iTaste MVP 2.0. I like the fact that the battery lasts at least a day (and in some cases up to 5!). Although it IS a built in battery, for the cost and reliability I've read in many reviews I feel I'm ok with that. The price is also not bad at all compared to the others listed.

So, I'm looking at Fastech to purchase from which I've seen positive reviews from in other threads. If anyone has any conflicting stories please let me know. I can currently get it for $45 w/ shipping.

Now here's where I need a little more advice. For the same price I can get 3 different options, mainly on the atomizer(s) it seems. So basically I can get the starter kit with the MVP 2.0, charger, a decorative ring (?), and one of these three options:
(1) iClear30 atomizer
(2) iClear16 atomizers
(2) CE5 clearomizer atomizers

I've found that the iclears are made by innokin, not sure about the CE5's. Any recommendations for iClear vs. CE5? If I go with the iClear would you guys recommend (2) iClear16's or the (1) iClear30?

Also for anyone with experience with the MVP's are there any spare parts or consumable parts that I need to buy as well? I seen mention of some heads with other models, not sure if I need that with these. I'd rather order this stuff all at once, even if it's something I won't need to replace for a few months.

Again thanks to everyone for posting and trying to help me sort through this mountain of info/options out there!

If that's what you're zeroing in on, I'd go with the iClear 30. (Personal preference. YMMV)

Keep in mind, if ordering from Fasttech, they're on holiday Jan 25th until Feb. 4th

Thanks for the recommendation. Just to get more info - why the (1) 30 over the (2) 16's?

Also I didn't even see that but I just looked at their website. I better decide soon! haha

Thanks Ray - btw, I can't think of the town you mean in PA. I'm in Franklin Co. down by MD. Anywhere near there? OK I THOUGHT you said until Feb 4th. You mustve edited your post. I had mentioned that it was from 1/25 then I had to re-edit coz you had that there but I see in my quote you did originally say that. hahaha.

30 has a bigger tank for longer trips between refills. ;)

In truth, either of those is fine. I've never, ever had a good experience with anything starting with "CE."

You're way south of me (and west). I live in a pinprick on the map town. Just replace the S with an H. ;)

Yes, I did edit. Made a booboo and left out half the info.

If you're looking to get the mvp2 id order it from 101vape.com. Its only 40 and it ships from inside the US

Thanks NW always appreciate a better deal and an inside the US company. Only problem is... they're sold out! haha. Also shipping isn't included and I suspect this is more than the 8oz. they alot for their $2 shipping. :(

I was also kinda leaning towards the (2) iClear16 vs. (1) iClear30. But that's not a deal breaker.

Thanks tho!

Thanks Ray. I'll be sure to stay away from CE stuff :) I'm sure MMV but about how many puffs would I expect before having to refill a iClear30?

Would someone mind taking a look at this link for the Innokin MVP 2.0 and let me know if I need anything else? I see "heads" for the iclear atomizer and it doesn't say (or show) that it comes with these but I don't know what I'm looking for exactly so maybe it does? Also how often do these heads need replacing?

Any other parts I would need with this starter kit?

$45.16 Authentic Innokin iTaste MVP Variable Voltage APV Starter Kit - silver / with iClear 16 atomizers at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Looks like that kit doesn't include extra heads, so you'll definitely want some.

How long they last varies. Frankly, your wicks will likely go bad before the coil. You can search Youtube for how to clean the clearos and heads. Regular cleaning extends their life a bit.

Hey Ray I actually switched (see updated link). Same system but I am going to go with the iclear30 after all. That stainless swivel head just looks damn nice. I can get 5 coil heads with wicks for $6.50 so I'll grab those as well.

Anything else you can think of that I might wanna grab now? (Besides some liquid of course :) )

The emax is in the link, I posted, http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ego-type-models/470972-best-starter-kit-i-ve-ever-seen.html

I just went and bought all my gear last Thursday, I didn't know anything about this stuff two weeks ago
.
All together this is what I got
The kit came with USB cable and wall charger, Case, And a smoke Tech RBC clearomizer , battery is a smoke Tech winder vv (Variable volt) 1100 MA, And then I bought a second battery the same. The Batteries last all day
A pro tank 2, a Mini pro tank 2, 2 extra smoke Tech RBC clearomizers, and a little single drip atomizer deal. (Not sure what you call those)
Edit :Oh yeah I also bought a 5 pack of smoktech, heads atomizers, and they will fit in Everything I have

OK Guys thanks again for all your info. So I bit the bullet and placed an order.
I got the innokin MVP 2.0 w/ iclear 30
a 2nd iclear30 tank
a 5 pack of replacement coils
and about 12 different flavors to try out.

Looking forward to vaping (in 8-14 business days :) )

One more question (although I'm sure I'll have more at some point) - When I'm trying out different flavors do I need to clean out the tank in between flavors? Or do I change the coil/wicks? Or can I just put a few drops of one flavor in, try it and then when empty put another flavor in?

With as many flavors as I have to try I'm concerned that if I do need to change wicks or coils that maybe I didn't get enough?

Def change coils and rinse out your tank and make sure it's dry. For similar flavors you can just rinse them (your coils) under the sink and let them dry (about an hour or you will have lost flavor). To really clean out different flavors give the coils an overnight soak in drinking alcohol (vodka or pure grain alcohol) or the flavors will mix and you won't know what they taste like.

p.s. my only blog post is about the basic noob intro to vaping in one page.
