I'm new to the forum and to e-cigarettes. I got my e cigarette a couple of weeks ago and have been reading a lot about vaping the correct way. I have the titan tank kit with the titan fluid from Totally Wicked. I experience that when I am vaping the area between the battery and atomizer is getting really hot. Is this normal? I take inhales of about 5 seconds. The batteries are fully loaded, I have tried different atomizers and they are both getting very hot. How long a pause should I take between inhales? Is it getting hot because I am vaping too fast?

Hi Mariellle and welcome to ECF!

That heat could be from two things.

1 - You are vaping a lot with little time between vapes. We call it chain vaping. Typically after a couple of drags, I let my e-cig rest for a minute.

2 - There is a problem with the connection between the atty and the battery.

I suspect the first. If you are not chain vaping, you should figure out what the problem is before continuing to vape this setup.

ETA: You beat me to it retired1 :thumb:

What I typically do is have a couple of e-cigs going at once and switch between them. This also allows me to use a couple of different flavors so I do not lose the ability to taste each one. The more you vape, the more likely you are to get 'vapor's tongue', where you can't taste your vape for a while.

Hi all, I was running into issues with my ego v2 getting quite warm. I realized I was puffing that puppy like crazy and had vapor like a chimney rolling off of it. My battery and my tank were both getting quite warm. Once I stopped vaping like a mad person they both cooled off noticeably.
Today is my 4 week anniversary of dumping the analogs and both I, and my doctor, are both thrilled by it. I asked him yesterday what he personally thought of the e-cig. He told me "Many of my patients have been switching to the e-cigarette and I am ecstatic about it. From the research I have read the e-cig is MUCH more user friendly than the tobacco cigarette. I wish ALL my smoking patients would switch and I am recommending it to them". I found that very interesting.

I can totally relate--I was never a chain smoker but sure am a chain vaper! Would it be weird to wear a pot mit while vaping???

With no one to give me guidance, I started vaping about 2 months ago with a starter set of KR808s from a vendor that will remain unnamed... I was constantly recharging them and refilling cartomizers like crazy. Luckily, my set came with a manual passthrough and I had purchased some mini clearomizers. Within two weeks, I added two eGo LED vv batteries w/cE4 clearomizers and then added another bunch of 808s. I just received my mini Kanger Protank II yesterday.

I'm going through about 6ml of juice per day, 6-18mg. My last two orders have been for 6mg to keep me from ODing on nic while pacify vaping!

I have a feeling that a different set-up, and a smaller bank balance, are in my future...

FlamingoTutu, any equipment suggestions for a newbie chain vaper? I'm not too tech savvy...

My, now senior, beagle is proud to have his baby picture as my avatar--he actually likes to play dress-up! I'm glad that I'm not exposing my two fur babies to second hand smoke residue anymore. I just need to make sure to keep my juices out of their reach. They seem to be far too interested in some of my dessert vapes!

Bbywho, my German Shepherd went bug nuts over my coffee juice, not so much for the cigarettes. I'm glad neither he nor my husband is inhaling the toxic stuff anymore.

I use a Mini Davide on an Ego style battery. I've never seen another person vape or been in a vape store so I'm not that experienced with the more advanced stuff. Couldn't afford to be anyway so it's a good thing. There are A LOT of really knowledgeable people on here who can help you far better than I can, though a lot of it also seems to be personal preference with many variables. Here's a link to the Mini AnyVape Davide Mini Glassomizer

Give your buddies a pat for me :)

:2c: I just had this problem recently and although the do definitely get warm when you chain vape, I have noticed my eVOD's get even warmer when I have gunky coils. I would suggest maybe doing a dry burn. Thanks for posting this question because I know others have asked themselves the same thing. That is what makes ecf and its people so wonderful.:)
