Hello all,

Just started looking into e-cigarettes and have done a lot of reading. I have more questions than answers of course.

I am in Ontario Canada and would like to know where I can purchase something easy to use, tastes like a "real" cigarette from here, not a Marlboro (No offence to anyone, I just like Canadian smokes). Not interested in all of the other flavors, I just want to quit and hope this will help me do that.

I have read that I can not buy nicotine liquid here...not sure about that yet.

Would like something with a lot of vapor, and looks like a "traditional" cigarette, white with an orange filter and red lighted tip.

Price is not a big concern, but being able to get what I need quickly is, Canada customs can take some time if I deal with a U.S. supplier.

I have read reviews and opinon's just not sure what the best path for me is yet, but I do want to make a purchase soon to get going without jumping into anything.

Thanks for any and all advice you can offer to someone who knows just about nothing about "vaping" and lots about actually smoking for 30 years.

Thanks,
John

I recommend you get 5 non-spam posts and/or replies in New Members then wait about an hour, then go ask in the Canada forum of ECF. They will know what you can and cannot get past Canadian customs and what shops in Canada stock and have the best prices.

And BTW nothing the diameter of a real cigarette is any good. You need to go to about 9mm diameter like 510 or KR808D-1. ANd you did not say enough about your smoking habit and battery needs for anyone to make recommendations. What kind of cigarettes (full strength? lights?) How many per day. And what is the amount of time you absolutely need one battery to last and why.

I would recommend the KR808 as well. I have been 12 days without a real cigarette thanks to mine. I started with a revoloution set-up from the Vapor Talk store but quickly upgraded to a PigCig from lecig.com. The connections are all compatible with the KR808 cartos I have. Lecig had amazing shipping for me, but alas I am not Canadian and can only imagine what customs would be like.

The need for a real-looking battery disappeared when I realized this was going to be it for me. The Revoloution batteries would last me about 8 hours, where as the PigCig battery can last me almost 2 days. I dont think I vape as heavily as others, but not having to charge things all the time is nice.

Good luck on finding the right one for you!!

Thanks for the youtube link BlackPigeon, interesting info, now more confused than ever. I don't quite understand the lingo but get the basics of what he's trying to get across.

Rubber tip makes sense, not sure about taking that other thing apart and "dripping". Seems like a lot of work and I'm lazy...I would prefer someting you plug in at night and goes all day like my cell phone.

Will keep reading, it's likely the best thing to do right now.

Thanks again.

John

They do have the bloog's. Those are "cig" like. Then again, those are auto batts, but seeing its operation, it's just like a cig.

What are your requirements? Are you on the road all day? At home? Stuck in an office? (this will help determine battery requirements)
How much do you smoke/day? (this will determine your battery)
What type do you smoke? (this will go towards determining the amount of nicotine you should order)

I think the 510 is the closest you'll get. Then again, I wasn't really paying attention as I needed something to last me a day.

Are you on the road all day? I have a quick .... when I can here and there

At home? I wish

Stuck in an office? Never!!

How much do you smoke/day? 25 cigarettes

What type do you smoke? Ultra Lite

This is like buying car insurance....How far do you live from work, how many miles one way, pleasure or company car, any tickets...etc LOL

Thanks, this is great info, I'm learning a lot here!!

The issue is your slim e-cig battery will not last you the day. From happy vaper, you'd need the 510 "all in one" or "on the go" starter kit.

I would recommend the eGo. The battery is 650mAh which should last you the day. It is bigger than a cig. IMO, you don't need an actual cig or a lookalike. You want the throat hit, the vapor, the feel of it all. The cig is just the delivery device.
