Thanks 4 me,

I'm starting to understand now the difference betweent the "slim" and the others...it's the battery (Big light bulb went on)

OK, now I agree the cig is just the delivery device, BUT it's the device I've had for 30 years...so to have something new in my hand would take some getting used to.

I'm not ruling it out but I would certainly feel more comfortable with what I'm used to, but it's deffinately NOT a deal breaker.

I've smoked for 20 years. (not that this is a competition).

I think if you want to quit, or make a conscious effort to, the tool in your hand won't matter. It's the smoke/ vapor, and feel of it. (Nicotine too). As stated, I've got the eGo.

And to rehash my vaping history, started this 2 weeks ago. Without any nic, I'm down to 5 cigs/day. This is with a conscious decision to use the pv before lighting up. I got some nic today and I guess it's working. Haven't craved one tonight. The true test will be tomorrow morning's coffee.

I was an ultralights smoker until they got too expensive and then I had to switch to cheap harsh lights. An ultralights smoker might find KR808D-1 a bit hot/harsh. Might be OK with 10-12mg nic. Another option would be Joye 510 w/ mega xl batteries (same battery life as standard KR808D-1 at 280mah). Two Joy Mega xl batteries might last you a day of work if you are not vaping heavily. And you can get a PCC (a portable charging case). For either I recommend manual batteries. Autos can turn on by accident and are more easily damaged by juice leaks. Manual 510 and 510 mega xl are totally sealed on the threaded end.

And I recommend cartomizers on the 510 mega xl. Boge soft-cap standard resistance blank cartomizers, not the annoying carts on the atomizer.

other than those two, look at fat battery models.

The morning report:

IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!

Had my coffee. Had the craving. Dripped some nic juice and vaped away. Well sunuvagun, no more craving. So, the ticker has started, my last analog was at 4pm yesterday. Haven't craved one yet.

And to tell you the truth, I don't know what I'm doing. I just had my requirements (which may or may not be different from yours) and the eGo met it. The only problem I'm having now is which way do I like to vape. I'm using all combinations. Tanks, dripping, atty+carts. So far, it's all the same (could be the burnt tastebuds from smoking).

One other thing you may want to look at is Happy Vaper is holding a meet in Richmond Hill on a weeknight. The benefit of being there is you can see what people are using, see it in action (youtube only takes you so far) and you'll have instant input/ answers to all your questions and concerns.

Thanks for the update 4me, I hope it works that well for me too!!

I ordered an eGo last night and will let you know if I have any questions when it gets here. From all of the reading I did it looks like it will do what I want it to.

Questions about juice strength... I smoke a pack a day and not sure how strong to start out with, any suggestions?

I'm so glad you go the eGo. I always cringe when someone insists on something cigarette sized. The battery life is maddening for me.

As for nic strength, it's pretty much impossible to say what will work for you. You vape different than you smoke and later you'll vape different than you vape now. Get a variety of strengths ranging from 12 to 24mg. Keep them around for a several weeks. What works for you can change.

Has anyone ever heard of issues getting juices from the US into Canada, I don't think they are illegal but not sure if customs would hold the package or even just deny it entry here.

I would like to know for sure before ordering a bunch to try out.

Not being Canadian, I don't really know but, I've seen issues with nic juices mentioned. There's a Canadian forum on here. You have enough posts and I'm sure they will help you there, if you ask.

Hello,

I am new myself and I looked for a place that was close to me, had some items I wanted and was having a sale. V4L offered all of these things so they are who I went with. I would look around and see who can offer you the best price on the products you are wanting. Check this forum for information on sales. Just try to read a few reviews about what flavor you get. Getting a bad flavor or crappy equipment might put you off of using you e-cig

John, congrats on your eGo. You'll enjoy it.

I've been smoking ultralights, so I went with 12mg. I guess the way I smoked, it was too much. As stated, order various concentrations. It's a bit of a costly experiment (unless you find somebody offering samples).

I suggest you go with other flavors. Try coffee or mint? Avoid tobacco. If you're looking for something that "tastes" like an analog, I don't think you'll find it. This is my experience and I'm not saying it's the gospel. I just think that if you go into this looking for a complete substitute (look, taste, feel), you won't find it (I know, you went with the eGo, so look and feel are out the window). The reason I suggest something other is because I was very very disappointed with the tobacco flavor. I went in looking for something that just wasn't/ isn't available.

Lastly, when ordering nic-juice in, just tell whoever you're buying from that you're located in Canada (although it is obvious when you provide your shipping address). They should be able help you in getting your product.

I use an ego with Boge LR cartomizers and love it. I also get juice from FSUSA. You can send David, the owner a PM here. His forum name is Mauisun. He ships all over the world and would answer your questions. You can get the phone number on their website too. I have called him direct several times. They are open on Sunday. I am not affiliated with them but really like their juices. Their specialty juices are all 50/50 and produce lots of vapor. They blend them in their store in Tucson. Hope you find what you need.
