Hi, guys!

I'm kinda new to vaping and need some help on what to buy and more info about coils. I want to apologize if my grammar goes bad, English isn't my native language.

So... A friend of mine recommended buying a Pico to start off. I'm convinced this is the right mod so i didn't get any trouble in this area. My real problem is about what tank should i buy.
I don't have access to all these products in a cheap price where i live and i'm going on a travel for U.S so i'm planning to buy everything in my trip.
I saw some videos about coils and how often you should replace then and i really didn't know what to do about that. People recommend to change coils once every 1-2 weeks and i can't afford to pay international shipping every 1-2 weeks that i need a replacement for a new coil, my budget is around 200$-250$ to buy everything (tank, mod, juice etc) so i can't afford to buy huge amounts of replacement coils. I don't know how to build my own coils too so this is frustrating me a lot ahaha.
So my question is: There are any better options on more durable and affordable coils/tanks in the long term? Also, if the Pico isn't the best option which one do you guys recommend? (I want a durable and reliable product since i'm not planning to buy another one because most of the vapes they sell where i live is basically egos and egos lookalikes).

I think the pico is a good choice. The kit comes with a melo 3 tank and the coils come in 5 per pack. Depending on type of ejuice you use will help determine how long the coils lasts. Dark ejuices tend to clog the coils faster that lighter ejuices. Darkers ejuice is usually tobacco, caramel, some creams, and sugary mixes. Fruit, gums and drink ejuices are lighter and last longer in the cartos.
With $200-250 you can buy 2 melo 3 kits,(they typically run around $27 for the kit--backups are important), batteries, charger and still have room for ejuice. It may be better to have the ejuice mailed to your home because airlines tend to limit the amount of ejuice you can carry. Check with your airlines on that.
You can get the 5 pack of coils for around $ 8 -10 if you can catch a sale. Also shopping at Fastech for coils the shipping is free.

Good luck and if you have more questions....ask away.
:)

Another good tank is the eleaf GS air tank. Coils are a little cheaper and the tank is very good.

I would suggest a squonker (kangertech dripbox 60w or pico squeeze), learn ohm's law, buy some decent batteries, a charger, and cotton/wire... then splurge on juice. squonking is rda/with a detachable feedeer tank(bottle) and will give you the most versatility.
Thank you! I'm definitely taking a look on these. Also, i still remember a little from school about ohm's law. Going to see it again right now.

Thanks! I saw some videos and forum posts with people saying that is actually better to build your own coils with japanese organic cotton and good quality wires so i still don't know what to do about that. I'm not a huge fan of darker ejuices. The flavors i really like is cereal, fruity etc. Also, the GS air tank seems pretty neat, going to take a look at some reviews about those.

I would get a cheap RDA and some kanthal. No need for Japanese cotton, just get organic cotton balls it's much cheaper and at least in the USA every store has it. I would get a tank with pre-built coils and use that first and then get used to building to see if you like it.

I like the 4ml one, it holds more ejuice so you don't have to fill it so often.

The ceramic pop in coils are supposed to last a really long time, several months I think and you can switch flavors... though I wouldn't personally use them after that thing about them.

If you really want to save money just get an rta of your choosing and teach yourself to rebuild. The Pico is a good enough mod, I don't personally like it's TC mode but imo it's good enough for a beginner so you're good there.

as kiba said ceramic coils are supposed to last a long time, but there is debate on them being possibly harmful, with the chance of inhaling silicates while vaping with them. I had heat issues with the ones I tried, but that could simply have been them not being good for the tank I was using them in(too compact).

the cheapest way to vape is to get either a RTA(rebuildable tank) or an RDA, building your own coils for pennies and if possible also making your own juice for pennies as well once setup... I find personally rdas are generally easier to build on, and correct mistakes with when building, though tanks have the benefit on not requiring constantly having to add more juice to the coils manually... hence the squonker as an in between device.

definitely do your research and figure out what is best for you with your limited time and finances.

I'd agree with Sugar & Spice on the Pico/Lemo combo. I don't have a strong opinion on the Pico as I suspect its as good as any of the other variable mods. The Lemo 3 tank though is very nice. I own one and will be buying a few more. Very nice smooth tasty big cloud vape with its notched coil. It also gives you the included option of a build deck when you want to try that out. It is an excellent quality built tank and has a good price at around $30.

Not sure where you live but I'll bet stainless steel wire and rayon cotton are easily available just about anywhere so the option of building your own (which is actually very easy, just come back and ask) may be your answer to the cost of pre-made coils.

In truth, if you REALLY cannot buy coils/atomizer heads for your tanks, then don't buy a tank.

Buy a nice mod, some sort of dripper or squonker and invest your money in either a huge supply of premade coils or wire and cotton.

There are no durable coils as such, unless you buy ceramic, but the technology is still only young.

I don't pay international shipping to get coils from China. Maybe that is not the same around the world.

Since you are a new vaper I would recommend a tank with pre-made coils. You can get 5 packs of coils pretty cheap and will last a couple of months at lest I use my coils till I notice less taste or vaper take them out and soak in vodka for 12 hours then water for 12 hours and my coils last have some that are almost a year old and still work fine.

I have a Pico and I like it. It did get me to make the step from USB charging to external charging and extra batteries, which I love. My tank is the Atlantis Evo and I like that too. As soon as I can I'll be getting a RTA so I can make my own coils, I don't like the expense of buying coils. One thing to keep in mind when choosing a tank for the Pico is that it will only accommodate up to 23mm. The Evo is 22mm and fits perfectly.

I have an ex-roommate who just switched to vaping, got him a joyetech vtc and a couple of Samsung 30q's, gave him one of my old taifun gt's and he taught himself how to rebuild. With temp control now and the regulated mods available, it's perfectly safe enough for most people to jump right into rebuildable if they are on a budget, even if they have no clue what they are doing it's pretty hard to do it wrong.

That's pretty much what I did, except my first mod/atty was a line on a GG, stuff is so much easier now.

I own the KangarTech 160W squonker and also the Vaporesso 75W TC pro. The Kangar unit is reasonable for the job it does but what I hate it their build deck. No sooner I got it I threw their tank into the junk box and fitted a Tsunami 24. I love it at I am a chain vaper and the 10ml bottle lasts me a while.
When Mobile, I also love the Vaporesso and their ceramic coils are excellent for flavour and the life of the ceramic coils is fantastic. My choice for a begginer would be these two as I mentioned and I have a very large mod collection. Some people collect stamps, I collect mods and tanks :toast:
