Just got home from shopping with my kids I have two iatty,s and they were working just great until an hour ago they now thread loosely into the stealgh and the ss ggts if I take apart a collection tank from the ss ggts it threads right in I think the the brass threads are softer and have I don't know I go away on business this coming Thursday for a week and I don't know what to do please help any ideas would be greatly apoericated thanks

I think you've stripped the threads on the brass stealth connector and also the 910-510 adaptor on the ssggts since it can thread nicely if you remove the adaptor and collector tank on your ssggts

That's what I was thinking I think this is getting really expensive I wish all the parts where stainless steal

I don't really know the toughness of brass so I can't comment on the stealth cap but I do know my iAtty tore through 2 510 adapters and an aluminum connector cap. Because of this when I use my iAtty on my stealth I bairly tighten it down and on my SSGGTS I just keep buying adapters. However I would say the best way to test the threads on the iAtty would be to try to thread it onto the SS connector cap directly. Remove the collector tank and adapters pull the connector cap off the ggts and see if the iAtty threads on. If it does then more then likely it is the adapters and your stealth cap.

Yes did that and it works great but to airy

If it threads like that then more then likely your stealth cap and your adapters are stripped. Like I said I have gone through 2 adapters and am on my third. I buy them at MadVapes.

Also I have found that this 3rd is lasting the longest of all my adapters but I think the reason why is because I almost never take it off the iatty. Instead I screw the 901 to 510 adapter onto the iatty then the 901 rethreader onto the adapter then I screw the whole thing onto the GGTS when I remove it usually the adapter stays on and the rethreader is the only thing that comes unscrewed.

Thanks for the heads up on the stealth cap I will have to remember to be extra careful with it in the future.

Yes indeed, the iatty strips everything. I just use 510 to 510 adapters on my SSGGTS, been through about 6 of those. When you get another adapter, remove the top brass piece if the GG, screw in the adapter to the connector, and attach the iatty. You'll still have your CR there for air flow. Works great, plus you only ruin adapters, keep plenty on hand.

We had a long discussion about it when it first came out; encouraging caution because the steel threads on the Iatty will "win" every time. I recall a few folks crossthreaded their Provari and stripped it bad.
