Hi,

I have a new issue know with my rebel mod.
2 days ago, the mod show me “imbalanced battery” while the batteries is 67%.
I have 2 different sets of AWT battery purchased together 10 months ago. Also, I charge my battery using external charger.
I replaced it with the second set which is fully charged then the mod work perfect till the batteries reach almost 60% and the message showed again “imbalanced battery”.
I thought that mean that my AWT batteries are about to die then I purchased another 2 different sets (4 batteries) of Sony VTC6 but, unfortunately, the both sets reach 50% and the power did reach 40W (target power) and the message showed again.

Please advise.

Sound like you're dealing with fake/ counterfeit cells of both varieties or an internal battery contact or lack thereof issue.

Check to ensure all battery contacts are clean and make a good tight solid connection inside the power device, outside chance a wire or contact inside the power device connecting the cells together is loose, corroded or intermittent.

I don't know much about it, have you connected to your computer and checked in EScribe to see if something is out of sorts.
The dna250 can draw between .5a ~ 28a from the cells, low quality or insufficient cells will trigger a warning, I don't know if that would be “imbalanced battery” or something else.

Probably have to visit a DNA sub forum here or evolv's forum for more knowledgable/ specific help.

Please I need more clarification

Escribe is a computer program / software that Evolv the manufacturer of the DNA chip/board designed & supplies.
It is used to set up, customize & monitor DNA power devices.

If things weren't initially set up correctly in escribe by the maker of your specific device it can cause various issues.

That's why I suggested visiting evolv's own help forum or a DNA specific sub forum on this site.

If your batteries are truly "married," well, it's possible if you've ever used them in less sensitive devices and or subpar devices, they may have drained faster or unbalanced etc., although if you have new, unused batteries, it COULD be the charger? IDK. What brand do you have some are known to be higher quality than others although 60% seems pretty suspect.

I have occasionally gotten that warning in non-DNA devices (and always near the END of the useful charge, like often ONLY if I forget to replace them before a low battery warning) in non DNA mods, in my DNA mod it never, ever happens and I rotate all my batteries, so it's a bit surprising.

I'd agree you should travel to the Evolv forum for answers, and if the mod is new, and updates don't fix the issue, perhaps a warranty is in order. I don't know enough about the issue to really say. I will say, check your warranty period and etc. so you don't "miss it" if needed.

Also, some mods just display a "low battery" warning, and NOT the fact that on is lower than the other. Etc. So, name, make, model and age of your charger? It's possible your DNA mod is detecting something the other mods you have don't? It's a thought anyway.

Good luck,

Anna
