Rebuild coils

Up front, rebuilding may cost a bit more due to needing to buy materials, like the tank, and depending on the setup you have, you may want to get a mech mod, or something that will fire with a low resistance. For example, I can't use my drip tip on my Vamo since it won't fire less than 1 Ohm. I suppose you can build at a higher resistance, but I think the majority of YouTube videos (Rip Trippers is a good source) are going to show you how to build low resistance (in my experience at least).

Long term though, rebuilding is much less expensive. $5 can buy you more organic cotton than you'll ever need and some kanthal wire.

If you are going to buy a rebuildable, do research on the build's deck, basically the posts where you'll insert you're coils. Some are easier to build on, some are a lot "fancier".

Well, I have about 20 of these Aspire BDC replacement heads lying around and am interested in knocking out a mass rebuild and saving $50.

Can anyone recomend a video/vender that can show me the way?

Yea search you tube for "aspire bdc rebuild" rip trippers video will come right up. Good luck, its not worth the invested time with the sub par performance of the unit in general. But each to their own. Enjoy lol.

But you still need 32g Kanthal and 2mm Silica

Here's the real beauty of an RBA. Build a coil and it seems to last forever. Pull the wick out, dry burn that sucker, rinse crud, dry burn some more and its about as good as new. Slip in some fresh wick and off you go.

Not very fiddly and a great vaping experience. Just a tad worse than changing a pre-built coil, less time involved that cleaning and dry burning coils. A lot less time than rebuilding pre-built coils.

I started off rebuilding replaceable coils, I didn't find it worth my time on my tanks.

I personally drip 90% of the time on my MVP V2, no need to go sub ohm (but I have sub ohm'd with it .8 build ran fine, but I have switched up my coil build style since) to get great flavor and clouds. A couple benefits of the MVP is it has a built in ohm meter so I can check my builds BEFORE they are fired (I also have a multimeter), the cost, and the battery life.
My cost breakdown for dripping/rebuilding:
Innokin MVP V2 $39 shipped
IGO-W $18 (bought it at a local shop but can be found online for at least $5 less and maybe $1 for the drill bit I broke drilling it out lol! This thing is made of some hard SS)
100ft of 28 gauge A1 Kanthal wire was $7 shipped (eBay)
Organic cotton balls $3.50 for 2 bags (buy one get one free)

Total cost for my set up is less than my monthly cost of e-juice! So many options but this is how I have been doing for now, wanting to save up for a 30+watt box mod next.

Twice and Jubs further confirm my opinions about this whole topic. To sum it up, rebuildables are in an ELITE class when it comes to vaping. There is NOTHING like it. Any pre-built screw in coil heads will not come to even 50% of the capabilities of a good RBA/RTA in terms of flavor and vapor. Not to mention it is WAY easier to build for a rebuildable than to sit down for a whole tedious project of rebuilding your subpar 2 dollar coil head. NOT WORTH IT. Just spend 7 bucks for 50 feet of wire and organic cotton, and your set for a year of building coils that really never go bad. As mentioned above, if you think its falling in performance, pull your wick out, hold in the button, see it get orange in about 5 seconds, and let go, and instantly its brand new and your fine for another 3 months lol. Its a no brainer.

Also have never tasted flavors like I am now tasting for the past year since switching to rebuildables. Once you go RDA/RTA, you never go back the other way lol.

I keep hearing stories like this about how much better the flavor is with rebuildables. I can hardly wait for my vapemail to get here.

Its unreal, its almost a bit over bearing at first when you make the initial change because its such a HUGE difference, but once you get used to it, its DELICIOUS!! Jax, whats your preferred method of vaping, mouth to lung, or direct lung?

All I have are tanks with replaceable stock coil heads. 5 Kanger Mini Protank 2's and a Kanger Aerotank. I rebuild all my heads. Temco has wire for cheap and it is pre-annealed. I use organic cotton and Peaches N Cream Cotton Yarn from Walmart for the wicks Taste and performance is better than the stock coils IMHO. It's pretty easy too. I use 30ga at 8-9 wraps on a toothpick or something about that size (so that will fit down into the cup when you are mounting the coil) and get 1.7 to 2 ohms every time.

If Kayfuns would come in Glass I would have bought one ages ago. But my favourite juiced are tank crackers. I like citrus, menthol and cinnamon. Preferably together. They look really easy to build. But for now I have bought lots of Kanger heads from ft. And some wick and wire. I should be good for a whike

I ordered my first RDA Tuesday Aqua Clone also a RSST V2 today Aqua from China shipped 15 hrs after I ordered But the Genesis will be here first. Also ordered my first APV Mod- well I have a Itaste VV VW 3.0 that and some ego's but I am sick of always recharging batteries. I ordered a 26650tube from varitube. The Seigeli 20W has a DNA 20 clone chip and is suppose to fire to .5 ohm.

Same here. Though with a Kayfun, you can get a metal piece to replace the plastic tank portion. The downfall....You can't see your juice level. This is the sole reason I have not gotten an RBA tank. I can't find one that is small and glass.

I mostly go subohm because i run my rebuildables on a mech mod which give you the voltage of whatever you battery is supplying which is 3.7 for the most part. If I try to build one for my Provari to come up to snuff with my mech mod, its just no where in the ballpark of being possible. Think the amp limit is 3.5 on Provari, and 15 watts. Which basically is less then half the capabilities I can get with the mech mod and a 10amp battery. I would imagine your MVP is limited in the same way the Provari is, no? If you went mech mod, it would blow your mind.

That bothered me too. I have a clone that has a plastic piece. I have given up on top fill as it just seems to make a mess. But using the plastic piece with safe juice you get an idea real quick how many pumps of the bottle will fill it to the desired level. About 8 for me. So I dont really care about seeing the juice. Also, using cotton wick, at the first hint of burnt or cottony taste, you know it's time to refill. It doesn't give that taste until its almost empty.

Your KFL clone didnt come with both the clear and chrome/metal center cylinders? Mine did, and with all extra parts and a long pin squeeze bottle for filling. The fogger V4 has a glass center piece, and honestly is the best RTA I have used, even over the Kayfun and the Aqua. No comparison. Its VERY impressive.

Can hardly wait. I use mouth to lung hits myself.
