Rebuildable Problem plz help

just got rebuildable and wrapping kanthal 32 ga around 500 mesh just like in many videos i have watched. tried at 3v , 4v , 5v , 6v but but everytime i try to dry fire and glow the wire.... it breaks at top between the wick and the top screw post. like its getting way to much power. I've tried both 18650 and 2 18350s out of ideas

Just a general suggestion. You may have too much tension on that "leg" of the coil which creates a hot spot. When you connect the wire to the positive post (thumb screw), wrap it in such a way (counter clockwise) so that tightening the thumb screw doesn't place higher tension on the wire.

I do 4 wraps just like videos

4 wraps is probably getting you 1.2 ohms or less. If so, anything over 4v is probably way too much even if your coil is good.

(edit: way too much for 32 gauge)

You still didn't say what battery device you are using (mech or variable) or if you measured the ohm rating. Very important!

If you aren't measuring your ohms on a mech device you're a brave man.

been told it should handle as much power as you can put to it . not saying he was right but it did snap wire at only 3v

Uhmmm.... no.

3v shouldn't do that though for sure.

there's a little bit of a learning curve once you get it right it will start getting easier. my first was an RA tank and it came with about a foot of some really thin kanthal. I popped every single rap until I was out of wire. I ended up selling it and bought a few DIDs and got a perfect coil the first rap I think it was my week of practice with the RA tank

Usually means that the top wrap is biting into the wick and shorting out from too much tension. I had the same issue my first time wrapping a coil. You don't want the coil to be too tight. Just enough tension that it is snug against the wick and not leaving any gaps.

getting 1.4 ohms then low load , fiddle with wires , 1.4 ohms

lol got the tank last week and like you say i ruined all wire that came with it today i got 100ft 32 ga and been thru about a foot of it so far lol

Ya it takes a while to get it going. I went through quite a bit as well...ended up bouncing one off of the table and having to get another one. One more thing to make sure of is that your wick is oxidized well and that on the outer edge of your wick that you made a small fold at the end.

Varible am getting 1.4 ohms have it set at only 3.7 v usally use watts with attys and cartz
