I have been vaping my Magma with a 28g single coil at 1.3ohm at 18watts (smallest air holes, mouth to lung hits) and really enjoy it. I would like to try lower ohms around .5 with a larger gauge kanthal. I am aware of battery/mod safety, my question is what is the main difference between vaping 1.3ohm at 18 watts and .5ohm at 30 watts? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

You're going to get a denser vape quality and more vapor production. You'll probably find that with a dripper, you'll want more than 30 watts at .5 ohm. Sweetspot for me at .5 is around 40 watts, but it really depends on the dripper. I don't have the Magma specifically.
