There are many youtube videos showing the setting up of different rebuildable systems. Go have a look, it will help you decide whether you want a genesis.

Hmm i just tried rebuilding the vivi nova with ss mesh over the weekend. Not sure what i did wrong cos the th and vapor was great the 1st day i made it but flavor was slightly muted. By the 2nd day everything was off so i checked it and found new hotspots appearing when there wasn't any the day before. After it went good for a while before everything became bad again >.<.. I even took out the wick and recoiled it again. Was using a 32awg kanthal. Straight off it was good but it turned bad again after a few hours..haizzz

Give up ss mesh on vivi nova liao.

Now waiting for my DID clone to arrive and see if my experiment with ss mesh would work..if not i just go back to vivi nova with cotton wicks.

There's alot of better and cheaper options than the VV nova, when i was using it before you can really taste the difference compared to other atty, the vivi really mutes the flavors!!! If you like those type of set up try the bottom coil kanger t3 its alot better than the vivi nova!

Now your china clone may work or may not work. Use it as a practice session for coiling and preparing your meshes. See the variuos example on youtube and see which suits you best

For a beginner, you might want to consider the somnium or the z atty pro. The mesh hole is insulated and is quite forgiving if your mesh is not up to the mark. It still boils down to how you coil. Genesis atty such as Cobra, HF, AC 9 are for the pros.

my 2 cents worth

frankly speaking, i didnt notice the difference between the somnium , DId and cobra when i set them up  ( coz if your wick is not properly oxidized you will still have shorts even with the insulated wick hole) and if you can avoid the z atties please do :2c: When i was using my Z atty U i feel that there is something wrong with it , i know some of the guys who have owned one before knows what i mean !

What you will buy with that clone is a lesson. The screws don't fit, leaks at the o-rings, only one refilling and one wick hole, delaminating chrome. You will learn quickly what you definitely don't want with Genesis type attys.

Then again it is so bl@@dy simple you will all learn quickly it is the singer not the song, that matters. If you learn and manage to it up properly, no worries then with any other attys:).

Well , i guess we have had different experiences and thus different opinions. In any case these experiences, leads us to choose certain RBAs over others.

With the Z atty , there are those who swear by them. Again, it comes down to preference.

What mesh and gauge wire are you using bro?I can't seem to get my AGA working no matter what I do:(

ss mesh is finicky.... too tight you get hot spots. too loose you get hot spots.

There's a method to cheat. make sure your tank is dry without any liquid inside. wrap 1 layer of ang hoon paper with a bit of juice(about 1/2 drop) so it sticks to your mesh wick. wrap your coil as tight as possible without contorting the mesh wick. dry burn until the ang hoon paper turn to ash and give it a good hard blow to remove the loose ash and there you have your perfectly done coil.

A few rounds of practice and you can do away with the ang hoon paper.

32 kanthal and whatever mesh came with the box.... my spidey sense tells me it is a #300... I should be wrong.:D
1) I coil kanthal on a toothpick or nail first. Than secure onto atty head.
2) test burn coil, drip alittle pg on coil for oxidising.
3) heat up mesh to red hot and quench in water X 02 times.
4) soak mesh in pg and light up. X 04 times.
5) drop into premade coil.
6) zap! 2seconds.... Zap! 2seconds... shifting the coil and mesh around to firm up the setup and get rid of hot spots.
Voila!!!!!

If you get hot spots, you get reduced resistance. Even if still alright to vape will give you a certain amount of dry hits. Its not 100% dry hit. Its like nice vape mixed with 20% chow tar... get my drift.

Zapping with juice oredi in the tank will allow a little gunk to fill the places between wire and mesh and atty at the hole. Helps in the Hot spot removing process while you move the kanthal coil aroung the mesh.

Also, hole size is very, very important yah? try tarik without the cap tight if you suspect your air hole too small. See if you like the difference.
