That's so weird... When I did a search of that thread for "Atom Bomb" yesterday nothing came up... Guess it's time to do some reading... I've been wanting a tank style atomizer, but I am not about all these huge ones around.

Was considering the same thing, and the Atom Bomb may get me into modding.
Forgive me but a first observation of the Atom Bomb is it appears to have a top very similiar to the Apollo/ESCO E2 Tank.
I have 2 of the E2 and honestly buy at your onw risk, polycarbanate/or whatever the cheap stuff is that some juices will cloud and/or crack.
Really I am just intrested in what would be a good learning rebuilder?

Go cheap, and then once you have it down, get something better. It doesn't get much cheaper then $6.50 for a rebuildable.

Looks like a phenoix in my future. It seems real easy and is quite reasonable for price, and will even last a while.
the DID also looks really cool, been reading in the mod section too.
Sorry, I am a guy who like things that require minimal rebuilding and last long periods of time.

You are wrong about this he is using polypropylene tubing now i have this stuff i cut up for my carto tanks it will not crack with whatever juice you put in there.
I used EC Blends Spearmint with Dble Extra Flavor and Sweetner added. They have warnings about

Yup OKCvapes sells them that be the Fatty, V2,, got mine in a CoOp though,,,, I still back this monster of an RBA,,, yes it is a dripping Atty RBA,, but you can fit quite a few drops of liquid in this Fatty V2 and vape till your hearts content. I set mine up with two pieces of 34Awg Kanthal braided/twisted together then doing 5 coil wraps around 2 x 2'' pieces of 2mm Silica wick these 5 coils of the braided 34Awg Kanthal net me 1.5ohms. I lift the coil up off the bottom plate just a smidgen and still as of today I love this Fatty V2,,, Massive and I mean massive vapor and great flavor from this unit, it's my go to,,,nothing else puts out like this Fatty V2 unit the way I have it set up. I'm really hoping they come out with a Fatty V3 Bottom feeder next and if so I would buy 5-6 of them and put them on all my bottom feeder units for sure.

Hey, if you can make something and someone is willing to buy it...more power to you. But both versions of the Atom Bomb that I've seen are just off the shelf things that are married together. One version looks like a 6ml DCT with a clone Phoenix on top and the other is the new 4.5ml DCT with an Apollo cap on top. I assume there must be a Phoenix under the Apollo cap. Now, he must have somehow managed to drill a hole through the Phoenix for the wick so props for that. It would cost you like 20 bucks retail to buy the parts, so you're basically paying $40 for hot glue and the hole to be drilled. But the idea is pretty creative.
I've got a Penny, a Phoenix clone and a Bulli clone and all three are pretty easy to build a wick for. The way you attach the coil on the Bulli is SO much easier than on the Smoktech Vivi. I've definitely learned that I don't like things that require both res and non res wire. But I've got a small stash of ready wires for the Penny so I'm good for a little while. I've just been trying to find a cheap way to try a Genesis type before spending the money, but I'm probably going to splurge and order a Did soon and hope for the best.

I'm in the same mindset scott, I'm gonna suffer the wrath of the mrs and grab a did soon I think...might give my vivi with fresh heads a fighting chance before I totally relegate it to a backup.
the NEW version - atom-bomb is a gensesis type rebuildable... its not a phenix or some plan silica wick and wire build. it uses SS mesh and is a clone type of the zen and DID'S and things like that. for 65 - $ well spent, great reviews on the new atom bomb
