First purchase was a just out on the market, an istick 50 watter...had problems with first one so store agreed to send it in for repairs...gave me one which seemingly had been worked on...in the coming months the replacement has had glitches too..shutting down under normal use,no abuse..etc..would like to troubleshoot it instead of just replacing it again.(shop out of business so basically s c r e w e d for warranty repairs, etc.)
Has anyone done recon on user rebuilding of the 50's?

Thanks for the specifics Mooch...I really do need the engineering answers...raised by mech engineer,,,simply saying they would be disposable in a month with an $80 investment didn't do much for my appreciation of the site...your words are more appreciated.

sorry, didn't mean to offend ... are you aware of the issues with them self firing?

probably not worth repairing on that safety issue alone.

Yeah, I have 3 from the very first and second batch, and all are working. However, I feel they are NOT 50W mods and treat mine as 30W mods with freakishly long battery life. The components just aren't up to par for 50W.

There are youtube videos to show you how to replace the batteries with 18650s. I will do this with mine if they're still functioning once the batteries die. However, your problem may be the board itself.
