Rebuilding the Vivi Nova's head.

So I rebuilt my first vivi nova head last night. 5 wraps of 32g kanthal wire with 2mm silica wick. I haven't had any issues with it shorting out and it came up as 2.1ohms. My issue is once the vivi nova is about half way filled with juice I tend to get a few more dry hits than I did with the stock head. Is there something I could do to fix it? Did I do something wrong?

Absolutely the easiest thing to change is the wick size. I used to use the 2mm, but found better results with 3 lengths of the 1mm wick. That'll give you a total of 6 thinner wicks in the juice.

Temporarily you can rinse off the wicks you have now and unwind them from each other - just be careful when you get near the coil as you could move the wire wraps and cause a short by moving them.

As you increase the surface area, it's going to give better results. That said, the tilting, twirling thing is still necessary as you get down the clearomizer.

Experiment a little, maybe even try 4 1mm wicks or something.
