I've rebuilt several Kanger atomizers with great success. I've just rebuilt two more and neither works. They test 2.4 ohms with no shorts. I put them on the Evod battery and push the button and the light just flashes. Any ideas? Thanks.
That would indicate a dead short. How well did you clip the ends off the legs after inserting the insulator and the center post? Check again to see if they need to be trimmed off more.

Thanks. They are trimmed right down to the nubbin. ;-) Pulling the center metal pin out a tad makes them work as long as I don't tighten the atomizer into the base but I don't understand why.
seems like as you tightrn up the tank, it pushes the center pin inwards a tad and thus pushes the coil against the tube wall shorting it out. But when tested on the ohm meter the pin is "relaxed" and isnt shorting.... it happens

That sure works. I tried redoing the whole thing and ended up with the same result. Any suggestions as to how I can avoid this problem?
Thanks to all for your help.
When you seat the coil, before adding the grommet and base pin, use a needle through your coil and pull the legs as tight as you can as you insert the grommet and again as you insert the pin. That should help, at least a bit.
