My vivi nova is now working flawless. I'm running 3ohm on my 3.7 bolt. I am currently vapeing beetle juice 70vg 30pg. Best juice I have ever had!!! And I am pumped that the rebuild worked
You should reduce the resistance or crank up the voltage. The current set up gives you 4.6 watts, and a lot of your energy is lost into the metal wick.

I was gonna say too, you'd get much better vapor production and battery longevity if you raised the volts. Or you can make a 1.5-1.9 ohm coil and get great vapor, but the battery wouldn't last as long compared to a 3ohm coil with high volts (like 4.8ish volts, don't quote me on that), but you have a MOD which should last you at 3.7 volts with a 1.8 ohm coil which is still about the same vapor production as 4.8 volts with a 3ohm coil.
^I'm still sort of a noob with the whole electronics 101 part of vaping, but I'm 99% sure that that's correct. Safe Vaping Power | Voltage | Resistance | Ohm Chart
"the chart" ^ doesn't list 3.7V with a 3ohm coil to be in the yellow zone of "power level may be too low to produce a strong vapor", but it's borderline, you want it somewhere in the middle of the green blocks (Amps are written inside the blocks)
I put on my replacement prebulit head thT read 1.7 on multimeter. Woo the throat hit and vapor density is much higher. But I found it gives my fruit flavors a bit of a burnt taste but the coffee flavor is amazing at this. Why would that be? This forum is great help
what kindof wire did you use to get 3 ohms? I bought kanthal A1 I believe 32AWG and mine keep coming out at about 2 ohms. I would prefer to be up closer to 3.
great videos on you tube for anyone that is interested in doing this themselves. its fairly easy to do if you are good with your hands. I found a video on there that shows how to make a ss mesh wick even in place of the silica wick. Ive done both set ups, not too bad.
Steel wicks dont burn so you almost never have to replace them, especially in a clearo where you want to run around 8W, steel can take it comfortably. Plus the heat is distributed more evenly on metal wicks . So some of the vapor is actually evaporated by the wick itself getting hot.
Just started rebuilding Vivi Nova coils myself, and yeah, it's great fun and I'm amazed that my fat fingers actually managed to build 4 heads on the first day, without making a single short or anything
Using Kanthal D 0.20 (AWG 32), but will probably get some 0.15 in the future, as I can't coil it up close enough to get more than about 2.2-2.4 Ohms, they're still pretty good though
Using 4x1mm silica for wick btw.
I wouldn't know, as I just started out rebuilding them yesterday
But a "factory head" would usually last me a good 3 weeks or more, vaping about 2-3 ml per day.
I don't know if it's just me being hyped about being able to rebuild or not, but I think I like the taste better with the rebuilt head, compared to a fresh factory-made one.
