From the almost two year's I been with V4L, I can say that everyone there is willing to jump through hoops to make sure you are happy with what you want/need. I have to say that this is an odd occurrence, and I am not going to say the OP is lying, or wrong, nor am I going to put V4L down by saying this did happen.
I want to see both sides of this, but the middle of both sides to me sounds a little more like this.
"Thank you for calling Vapor for Life, this is _____ Speaking how may I help you?"
Hi Vapor for life, this is MB, and I have a problem with an order
"Hi MB, right now we are having high call traffic, and we are rather busy at the store, would it be ok to call back in a little while so we can assist you?"

I want to but the benefit of doubt that the OP was quickly writing and did not want to state what had happened fully. Now for the last part, with them saying "Oh well" I am sure it was more of.
"Well Sir (Or ma'am) Once our shipments leave the store, we do not have control of anything that happens to the bottle's or anything else, if there is a problem please call us back and we will fix it"
I personally have had one (1) MG mixup and it was with smilin. It was supposed to be 36, it was 24, I can deal with 24, and I am fine.
