recent lurker turned poster and could use some help

So I have been lurking around for a few days now after recently making the decision to give e-cigs a try. I have been researching here, watching youtube videos, reading reviews and bouncing around to all the different merchants sites. Despite all of the options available I have decided on either the joye ego or possibly the ego-t due to my work schedule and smoking habits. I would prefer the simplicity of the ego-t but I have read mixed reviews and just cannot make up my mind. It seems though that all of the neg reviews I was reading on the ego-t were old reviews from near the time of its release, Have they made any improvements?

It also appears that there are hundreds of sites are selling egos. Are they all coming from the same manufacturer and just being sold at different web stores that offer different accessories with their kits? If so who is a trusted vendor? Is it better to buy from one place than another?

And my last question for now is about juice. I am extremely confused about where to buy from due to all of my options. If anyone could just tell me a good site that is trusted and fast to get juice from I would appreciate it.

And if any background on me would help you to answer any of my noob questions or offer me suggestions, I have been smoking for about 9 years now, the last 5 of those years have been about a pack a day, I only smoke camel menthols and I do not like lights. Battery life is pretty important because I can not charge while at work although I really only do about an hour and a half to 2 hours of actual smoking while at work.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Personally I love my eGo. I use the type B tanks and attys and have not had any problems with them. As for the juice question...You are going to get a lot of different responses. Many differnt places to order from and the same for the kits. I got mine from Cignot.com. Great place to buy from and really great customer service. Any questions ro problems that you email them are answered fasten than you would expect.

I have the 900 mah batteries and at home hitting all day I can kill a battery, but they get constant use and have for the last three months. 900 to 1100 would last you all day at work and should not be a problem.

I'm sure more advise is on the way.

If it was me, I would get the Riva SE (Special Edition) from Liberty Flights.
It runs at a higher voltage than the Egos or standard Rivas.

As for juice, you'll get dozens of different recommendations.

I'll skip that part, because my favorite juice vendor (Tasty Vapor) doesn't have a lot of samples.
And when you start I think you really MUST get a bunch of different samples, because you never know what you're gonna like.

EDIT: Actually I just checked their website and they now have samples of 10 different flavors

I agree with DC2, try the ego from LF.

As far as juice, it's very individual and as I'm sure you've read, no juice taste like your cigarette. Backwoods Brew has a menthol that a menthol/tobacco juice. He has it in mild to strong menthol. You may like that. Get a small bottle of medium & strong in different nicotine strengths. See which one you like or mix them together.

You may find you don't even like menthol/tobacco juice. He has some good fruity juices too. He has a good watermelon.

It's really difficult to recommend a juice to people.

thanks for the quick responses.

Im looking into liberty flights and I dont see anything on here labeled Riva SE. Or were you just suggesting I get my EGO through them? And are you guys talking about the original ego or the ego-t?

And as far as Juices go Im not really looking for a specific juice to fit my tastes, I am just looking for a supplier/webstore with a large selection that is fast and reliable.

thanks

I too have an Ego , as well as several other mods , Juices , are a personal thing. One person , may love a particular juice , from a particular vendor , and the next person , will absolutely hate it . So , you will have to do what everyone else does , and just try out some samples from different vendors , as well as different nic strength , to see what you like . At first , I didn't taste alot of flavor , either . After several weeks of vaping , my taste started improving . You also , might want to consider getting a low res atty. for the tank version , or a low res atty. to use for dripping , or with cartomizers . I like alot of vapor , and those tend to produce alot more than standard atty's . And the clone ego's work , just as good as the real thing , and their cheaper .

+1 for the type B eGo Mega atty. I use LR love them things for dripping.

As for juice, I had recently discovered by accident how good freedom smokes usa tobacco juices are. got a bottle of sunrise in classifieds lot, love it..their tobacco flavors are more than most others ive tried that are just variations of that "nutty" flavor. their specialty tobacco juices have very good earthy notes to them, just like real.tobacco. if u decide to try em, get the sample pack, so far my faves are sunrise, outlaw and switchblade.

i have an Ego-T and really ejoy it. i havent had any problems what so ever with mine. if you are scared that it might not work for you i wouldnt worry to much you can also buy the regular ego attys or even a 510 atty and use it like the regular ego. you might even want to order a 510 atty and drip tip or cart with the ego t so you will know which is going to work for you the best.

as far as juice goes there are many good vendors and taste is so subjective its hard to say what you will like the best. i would suggest reading some review and maybe pick a few that inerest you and order them. i would start by ordering smaller bottles until you find something you like. right now my favorite is Johnson Creeks Tennessee Cured but im sure that not everyone will like it.

edit: ill also add i use LR attys with my ego t and have the type A. i picked it up at cignot and they have great prices and customer service.

The cartomizers are what you put your juice in. You can either put your juice in a cartridge that fits on an atomizer and you place both of these on your battery (3 piece) or you can get a cartomizer, it's a cartridge and atomizer combined and place that on yor battery (2 piece).

I just find the cartomizers so much easier to use and they hold more juice. They're also less messy. But they are disposable although you can refill them many times. The only issue for someone new with a cartomizer is that once you pour the juice into your cartomizer (about 1 ml) you're sort of committed even if you don't like the juice. It's difficult to get juice out of a cartomizer.

With the cartridge it's easier, you can just rinse it out. I could never get the cartridges to work properly. I've been using cartomizers since I started vaping.

I dont know what those are. All I ordered was the kit, I got excited and didnt even think about if I should add anything else to my order, suggestions

If you could add to your order, I would order boge 2.0 cartomizers and a couple drips tips. If you can't, I'll give you a link to another place to get them.

It's up to you. I use cartomziers. Hate using carts/atty a lot.

If you chose to use cartomizers. Get them here. Use the code ECF5OFF and you get $5.00 off your first purchase. You get a free bottle of juice with a box of cartomizers. So, it'll cost about $2.00 for a box of cartos and juice. Add a couple drip tips. I think they're about $1.50.
