We don't have many vape shops nearby, and the ones we do have, they aren't exactly the most trustworthy, or knowledgeable.

Well, that's always disappointing to hear... I know exactly what you're talking about. I have a head shop 5 min up the road which has a good bit of e-cig parts and juice choices. The owner is a good guy, but the girl with the nose ring, dreads, patchouli smell, and attitude that runs the business in the evening (after school I'm assuming) is NOT a good choice for business. So I grab my lunch to-go and make the 30 minute hike up the interstate to a vapor shop that makes me feel like I walked into Hooters with my own personal escort. :2cool:

Speaking solely from my experience, the type of unit you purchase seems to be a direct reflection on what type of person you are. i.e... most of the people I know are low level white collar workers who like to party. I have about 6 fiends that have quit traditional tobacco and gone the e-cig route. Most of us have tried the disposable e-cigs and all have gotten away from those. Two of us chewed tobacco (me included), one inhaled Black n Mild cigars (I still shudder at the thought), and three smoked cigarettes.

All of us but one of the cigarette smokers started with the ego twist and graduated to a Kanger tank, all are still satisfied with the improved health and reduced cost; four of us have kids. Two of us have recently switched to mechanical. I am still the only one rebuilding atomizers (which if you are mechanically inclined in the furthest stretch of the imagination, I recommend it). The rest, just buy lots of atomizers and give me the used metal which I appreciate greatly. :D

The last cigarette smoker is a single girl. She is a bit of a "princess", and must have all the newest "posh" stuff. She drives a Mercedes, and no, not the cheap one. She got her BF to buy her a beautiful $300 drip-tip setup after smoking the disposables for 3 months. She hates it. Always complaining what a PITA it is to "constantly refill the stupid thing every time I want to puff"...
However, everything might work out great. I have offered to buy her a kanger tank and twist battery in exchange for her setup. I'll just have to get over the PINK Lipo Box Mod. It does have a black chrome Nucleaus (bonus).

So, moral of the story, grab the ego starter kit. Go up from there.

My reccomendation is 2 get the MVP 2 Starter Kit... It's the most reliable mod I've found has lasted for the last 7 months without issues... Been through a lot of e go style batteries... They're kinda weak for throat hit cuz of their limitations plus slightly unreliable... It'll cost a bit more at first but in the long run save $$$. When u can afford it try the Aspire Nautalis or KangerTech Aerotank on it... Great Flavor and throat hit

Well, I got my vapemail on time today. MFS proved me wrong and eased my mind about ordering from them. Not only did my package arrive on time, they also threw in a free 3ml bottle of Desert Ship e-liquid.
My gf and I went to Redd Dragon vapes in Oxford, NC today and picked up some e-liquid. I got red velvet, she got a coffee with french vanilla and she also got a ego starter kit with a Smok EBC tank. I think we went a little high on the nicotine at 18%, hers is a little harsh, but tolerable. Mine is smooth as long as its under 4v, over 4v I get a nice solid hit and plenty of flavor and vapor. The customer service was top notch, I cannot for the life of me remember the clerks name, but he was so helpful and patient with us. We will definitely be visiting them again, and again.
I am almost 100% sure that i'm done with analogs. We're going to put them up out of sight for now. I want to thank you all for your help, and hopefully some of you are wrong about me making a bad choice of starting points. I've already decided to pick up an Aspire Et-s tank for the ego-c and then I want to step into a cheapish mech mod down the road. The clerk at Redd Dragon was working on his and it looked like something that would keep me interested for a while.
