So I made this recipe using all tfa flavors

Thug juice -
Watermelon (TFA) 13%
Grape Jolly Rancher (TFA) 8%
Menthol (TFA) 2%
EM (TFA) 2%
Koolada (TFA) 1.5%

And I'm using 3nic and it is a 70vg 30pg blend. I've been making 3nic recipes for a couple months now but this one has some serious throat hit was wondering if anyone had any pointers to reduce this with out lowering my nic thank you

Some flavors produce a lot more throat hit than others depending on their ingredients. I would make a small batch of each of the primary flavors alone to see which is the one with the killer throat hit, then adjust that flavor's percentage down in the recipe accordingly. The other options to go max VG.

I'll try that tonight. The most vg I can do it 73.5 since the flavoring is 26.5 of the recipe and they are all pg based flavors. But I will make a small batch of each to see what's causing it. What flavor percentages would you recommend I use to test each flavor? Like 10%. Also now that you said it I think it maybe the grape. That and the EM are the only new flavors I've used.

I haven't made many recipes but isn't 26% very high? My first flavour said 4-6% on the bottle and the custard i now use on my mini suggests 12-15%. At 13% it's really thick flavor.
More of a question than a suggestion from my side though.

Maybe you are right. Maybe tonight I'll mix the 30ml I made with another 20ml 70/30 vg pg and .6ml of nic.

Okay so I cut all the flavors in half and it is tolerable but not good. But I was also vaping another recipe that I've made before and that seems to have a little bit of a harsher throat hit than normal. What I'm wondering is if the bottom of my bottle of nic is stronger than the rest of it. I did shake it every time before I used it but maybe I didn't shake it enough? I do not know.... If anyone has any input that would be wonderful. I'm using mfs 100mg 100%vg base.

I would say it's likely to be the TFA Watermelon, that flavor rips my throat out at just about any percentage, and to me 13% is very high for this flavor (it really never had a decent watermelon flavor to me either)

This is what I was thinking. @Psofos 26% is actually pretty average for many recipes. Of course, it all depends on the concentration of the flavors. Like my Capella Vanilla Custard, I love at 18%, but my Flavorah Vanilla Custard comes in at the same strength at 8%.

Good to know, haven't found a flavour that needs so much yet,but when i do i won't hesitate to add up to 25% now.
@DonCon I don't know mate,if chain vaping doesn't get you nic sic I guess it's just the flavour or a combination of flavours that causes the throat hit. I would keep the juice aside just to be safe. I remember i diluted my 60 mg nic to 10 vg bottles when i got it,maybe keeping it in the bottle for time makes some difference, I don't know.

Yeah, my average recipe contains anywhere between 18-30% flavoring (I like strong flavors) although there are some people out there who take their flavoring to 40%... That's just crazy to me though lol.

How big of a Nic base bottle are we talking here? Nic will get oxidized over time, especially if it's your "Mixing" bottle of nic that isn't stored in the freezer 24/7, and that can lead to a stronger TH than you'd normally expect to get from the same nic when it's not overly oxidized.

I'd guess it's probably a combo of that, and the TFA watermelon, that watermelon is harsh to me no matter the percentage. Had you used that watermelon before, and didn't have a TH issue?
