I hope you have better luck than me. I'm about 50% for getting the filler back in properly. Hence the need to reclaim juice. I'm about ready to give up and just chuck them after they lose taste.

I tried it with one carto. No luck, ended up tossing it after trying about a hundred times to get the filler back in /just right/. Ugh.

It's really your choice on how you would go about saving it or if you wanna save it. To me, I only fill one carto at a time and if it dies when I try to fire it. I just simply toss it. 2ml isn't really a big loss to me.

Anyways, I was actually responding to Hypnophone who said he wanted to get the liquid out of his dead cartos that's been used for a while. To me, the juice has already been tainted and doesn't look or taste the same like it used to. So, tossing it is the only logical choice IMO.

I should have phrased the question better.
If a carto dies soon after filling, the liquid shouldn't be so burned and nasty as to make it un-usable should it?

When they die, and have been heavily used for a while, I toss 'em because there's not much left anyway...

I do like the syringe method.

Easier reverse Taryn spin. - Use those reading eyeglass necklass holders with rubber tips to hold the battery end of the carto, put a condom on the other end with space for eliquid and spin it out in a second. You can do two at a time if you'd like. They are held at the perfect angle as they spin. Be prepared if they fly off. It can happen.

Works for getting liquid out of atomizers too after washing. You don't have to blow them out with your mouth if you are sharing or will store them.

Eye-glass necklass with rubber tips (sold at REI, Sports Authority, etc) are a good way of carrying small cig size PVs around your neck. One side for an extra carto and one for the PV.

actually I think I have learned my lesson there! USING ONE OR TWO CARTOS AT A TIME!! When I first started using these 2 ml DCC's, I think I had 11 or 12 in service. It was obviously at the point where I didnt know what-was-what!! they were at at various stages of use, but I could really no longer tell, I would top one off and??? or another and YUCK! so I get frustrated and just threw them all in a pot. YES, I lost a lot of juice that day, but I did learn a lesson. Sooo, now they are all clean and pristine white, but its still hit-or-miss on performance after cleaning because I STILL couldnt tell which ones were older, likely THOSE were the ones performing badly. So, I fill up one of the cleaned cartos and it was like sucking a miklshake through a straw, I AM NOT throwing THAT away!! It hadnt even been used, just filled. SO I WAS GLAD to see the post about puting it in a syring to go into an E-mergency bottle. I sure dont find anything gross about that. Even after a top off or two.
NOW, I know what Im dealing with, only keeping two in rotation, I know how long I have used it. If it seems to get clogged EARLY, I may clean it, if it seems to be failing after a good ammount of use, I toss it.
As a matter of fact, I havent had a single problem with a new carto out of the box until the other day, first fill and the draw was really bad. You KNOW I pulled out the tweezers!!

Hi, 52. My mother used to say I shouldn't ever put someone down until I've walked a mile in their shoes. She was a gentle soul who always thought about the other person first. I miss her, but her words still go around in my head -- now I realize she was usually right. We have no way of knowing what someone else is going through. Am not trying to be offensive. Just putting things in perspective. Once a really long time ago, I had to decide between $1 worth of food and cigs - was hungry for both. The food won back then. Not so sure what would happen now. Anyway, I think it's a good idea. People who lived through the "Great Depression" (which we're about to revisit, considering all that's going on) would applaud this idea if they'd had e-cigs back then.

I love that post! Im coming at from kind of an obsessive angle. at my house when My friends have used a paper towel to dry their hands, they look at me before throwing it out and say,"Did you want me to wipe something up with this first?" YES!! I get a little crazy. I cant stand waste!! You wouldnt believe the things that I have learned to recycle in my kindergarten class! I wish I could say that its due to my love of the earth (I DO) or because of being financially strapped (sometimes, OK-lots of times!!). Those wet Swiffer mopping cloths go into the washer and then back into the container with new floor cleaner. If the aluminum foil is still clean, I reuse it. Before I toss a paper towel, I wipe something with it, if the ziplock can be reused for something, I do. I still use the last scoop that was provided in a coffee can, they stopped putting those in there a LONG time ago!!

Off topic, but I wanted to tell you that you can get reusable Swiffer cloths. The ones I have are microfiber, and you just throw them in the washing machine and reuse. You can buy them or even make your own.

I didnt know they made those! Hmmm... May have to try, although the disposable ones are on their
8th-ish wash! Funny that you mention making your own, I have an older swiffer that the rubber pad came off of, I had cut up older towels and use them on that one!! Yah, its an obsession! Actually Im starting to think that I enjoy the challenge of finding "new way"s also! My husband laughs at me when one of my FEW schemes fail, but the previous 20 that didnt fail make it ALL worth it!! Darn I love a challenge!! Still trying to make those carts work!!!

OH!!! I almost forgot... I couldnt get a good vape all day!! How frustrating!! I had my TWO (and only 2!!) cartos with me, I knew they were on their way out, getting harder to pull. I brought a new one with me figuring I would need it at some point during the day. By the time I got to work, it was obvious that I needed to get that new one out RIGHT AWAY and fill it!! Coffee with no good vape is just unacceptable!!! So I took out the last few ml of my FAVORITE juice Backo, and happily filled my new carto, I did the usual 'little puffs test" first, put it on my battery, and NOTHING!!! Couldnt even draw air. WEIRD I thought! I took it back off, puffed some more, all was clear. I didnt understand. I put it on a different battery, same thing!! I am guessing that the atomizer did not work, this is the FIRST time that this has happened!! GRRRRRR The last of my fav juice was in there!! Frustrated ALL day on those older cartos :facepalm::facepalm:

Anyone want to guess what I did when I got home???!!! :D

Why is it anyone's business why someone wants to do something? Answer the damn question if you know, and if you don't move on to the next thread.

The best way to get most juice out is syringe what you can and reverse taryn spin to get the rest.

That's the best reply yet, next to the things our Mom's tell us, "there are people in Canada and Singapore starving for juice! You will not waste what I put in your carto! Now finish your vaping!"

Laura, did you check to make sure the "draw hole" was lined up straight in that carto? Like if you look through either end of the carto and look through that center tube, you should see light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes when the draw gets too tight on a carto I've used for a while, if I straighten out a paper clip R-E-A-L straight and stick it in one end of the tube ... and very gently get it poked through to the other side ... this "lining up" of the tube will make a HUGE difference in the way it draws. Had to do that once with a brand new carto, too! Hope this helps.

OOHH!! Hmmm... WOW!!! ok, enough of that! I havent heard this!! Ive heard people do this when they are clogged, but when I have pulled them apart for inspection (or out of sheer frustration) they dont appear to be clogged, and I use really light colored juices, on the thin-side. Some last a very long time, but this paeticular box kind of s_ _ _ked from the get-go, and NO I couldnt see light. I HAD heard THAT before, but just when discussing clogged cartos. Will a paper clip fit? I'll have to check that out. What can get misalligned?

Hopefully I haven put too many of them to their DEATH prematurely!!
